Call to Order: Mr. Pettitt called the regular GTAB Board meeting to order on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM Georgetown Transportation Advisory Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene an Executive Session at the request of the Chair, a Board Member, The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, General Manager of Utilities, City Council Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows. B. Introduction of Visitors C. Industry/CAMPO/TxDOT Updates: On October 17, 2016 CAMPO will be voting on the removal of the Lone Star Rail. TxDOT has engaged a firm to start the second project in Georgetown - Leander Rd design. We will have our first staff meeting with TxDOT next week. TxDOT is also looking at adding another project to Georgetown – Southwest Bypass/Austin Ave. intersection. At this time it is not one of the projects in the Mobility 35 program but they are now looking at adding this intersection to their program. They are also doing the analysis. D. Consideration and possible recommendation to City Council to approve amendment #2 of Task Order A&F-16-003 with Aguirre & Fields, LP, of Austin, Texas, for professional services to provide engineering and support services required to develop preliminary design alternatives, conduct public involvement, initiate environmental services and the prepare 30% plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) package for a long term management plan for the Austin Avenue bridges and roadway improvements from Morrow Street to 3rd Street in the amount of $190,330.65 – Nat Waggoner, AICP, PMP, Transportation Analyst Waggoner gave the Board a history of the Austin Ave. Bridges project. With a lengthy discussion on where we have been and where we are going. The PAC will meet four (4) times thro ughout the p ro c es s , approximately once every three months . The PAC members are provid ed draft chap ters o f the Mas ter P lan ab o ut a week befo re eac h meeting.
