which the duty of the attorney to the Georgetown Economic Development Corporation under the

Discussion and possible action to deliberate the purchase,exchange, lease or value of real property

The Georgetown Economic Development Corporation of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on
Monday, June 16, 2014.

Call to Order at 03:30 PM
A. Consideration and possible action to elect a Vice-President consistent with Section 3.02 of
the GEDCO Bylaws.
Laurie Brewer introduced the item in Mr. Brandenburg’s absence. Council Member Fought
offered to serve as VP if no non-council GEDCO member wished to do so.
Motion by Fought, second by Carter to elect Fought as Vice President
(Approved 6 -0)
B. Discussion and possible action regarding the Project Progress Report, including Airborn,
Radix BioSolutions, Lone Star Circle of Care, Georgetown Winery, Difusion Technologies,
Inc., Georgetown Independent School District (GISD), Texas Life Sciences Collaboration

Thomas provided an overview to the Board.
C. Consideration and approval of the minutes from the Meeting held Tuesday, April 21, 2014,
Motion by Fought, second by Barkalow to approve the minutes from the Meeting held
Tuesday, April 21, 2014. (Approved 6-0)
D. Consideration of the April 30, 2014 and May 31, 2014 Financial Reports--Micki Rundell,
Finance Manager
Rundell presented the financial reports and introduced item E.
E. Discussion and presentation on Sales Tax Analysis. – Paul Diaz, Utilities Financial Analyst,
Chris Foster, Manager of Resource Planning & Integration, and Micki Rundell, Chief Financial
Officer (Brown arrived)
Paul Diaz provided a detailed analysis on Georgetown sales tax.
Board members discussed the presentation and asked questions regarding developments
that were not included in the projections and the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax.
F. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Performance Agreement
between GEDCO and the Georgetown Independent School District—Mark Thomas,
Economic Development Director
As part of the annual report required in the GEDCO Performance Agreement, Thomas
provided information on the recent tour of the East View High School Engineering
Laboratory and the current status of the Engineering Program. GISD representative Kay
Wang also provided information on the Program and its OSHA certification. She also
discussed the possible creation of a Certificate that would detail individual student training.
There were questions and discussion about involvement by colleges/universities and
Georgetown employers.
Recessed into Executive Session at 4:27 p.m.

Motion by Fought, second by Brown to direct the General Manager to send letter to
Grape Creek Winery per the items discussed in Executive Session. (Approved 7-0)

ITEM SUMMARY:
At previous meetings, GEDCO discussed providing funds to retain DisperSol Technologies and
directed staff to create a Performance Agreement based on the discussion.
Now, therefore, staff respectfully requests that GEDCO consider approval of performance
agreement between DisperSol Technologies and GEDCO.
