Legislative Regular Agenda A Stephanos Polyzoides, a nationally recognized architect, will be in Georgetown on Thursday December 3. HARC Members may or may not be in attendance at 5:30 pm to see the concept plans for a downtown multi-family housing project which is proposed to be built at 3rd and Rock Street. The project will be the first phase of several courtyard apartments which Mr. Polyzoides will design for our downtown. Following his presentation on the 3rd and Rock project, at 6pm Stephanos will make a presentation to any interested parties on aspects of urbanism. In addition to being an architect, he is also one of the founding members of the Congress of New Urbanism. His presentation will discuss various aspects of our downtown, with examples from other small cities, covering topics ranging from mobility (autos, bicycles, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, and parking) to public spaces and architecture which enhances a sense of place and community.
