Patron comment: The bench that is closest to the Red Poppy door is on one bolt (Safe). The Front Right Bolt has pulled off ground anchored. A job repair for City Worker. Director’s response: Thanks for alerting us! Facilities will make that repair ASAP. 2. Patron comment: Snacks and fresh cold water? Director’s response: We’re glad that donated funds allow us to provide quick snacks for patrons who need them. At this time we are not using those funds for bottled water, as our water fountains provide fresh, cold, filtered drinking water. 3. Patron comment: 11/2: Karen L gave a terrific docent-led deep dive into the horrors experienced by the individuals mentioned in the Anne Frank exhibit. Director’s response: We’re so pleased to have been able to share the Anne Frank: Let Me Be Myself exhibit with the community, thanks to the generosity of Congregation Havurah Shalom, who not only sought sponsors to fund the exhibit, but also trained and scheduled volunteers to lead tours and add context to the information presented in the exhibit. As a happy bonus, Karen Page 25 of 28 L is most likely Karen Limbaugh, a volunteer with CHS and a super on-call staff member for the Library! 4. Patron comment: Sue K. was awesome with a patron—took lots and lots of time to explain the processes and what was available. Very patient. Director’s response: Hooray! We work to make sure we hire staff members who are excited to work with patrons and who feel empowered to take the time to make sure patrons get what they need. As we state in our Fine Print Policies: “We’ll help you get to where you want to go.” Sometimes that means walking a patron to the right book on the right shelf; sometimes it means taking a few extra minutes to make sure a new patron is ready to embark on a successful and joyous relationship with the Library. It’s not surprising to learn that Sue demonstrates a strong commitment to service, but it’s really great to have someone notice! We’ll pass along the compliment. 5. Patron comment: MARGARET WAS GREAT ON 11/6/21 @ 3 PM. Director’s response: Yup. Margaret’s pretty great every day. Thanks for the shout-out. We’ll pass it along.
