Georgetown Public Library
June 2018
June Highlights
Texas Bach Festival performed on Sunday, June 17 in the library’s Live Music Series.
Art exhibit: Carol Light.
Mayor Ross presented commemorative coins to the Library Board, Friends of the Library and staff
during a breakfast on June 6 to celebrate the library’s IMLS National Medal recognition.
Staff members participated in the Garey Park opening by passing out library information and talking
with guests during the event.
Programs for children/tweens/teens in June:
o Yoga Storytime w/ Kalena
o Regular Storytimes and READ Dogs
o Teen Advisory Board
o GPL Cinema screened Despicable Me 3
Programs for adults in May included:
o Recurring events such as Live Music Sunday, artist reception, Knitting Club, Adult Coloring
Circle, Games for Grown Ups and Wired Wednesday
o Adult Summer Reading Program- Craft Night
o GPL Cinema and Adult Coloring Circle taking a break during the summer
