The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you require assistance in participating at a public meeting due to a disability, as defined under the ADA, reasonable assistance, adaptations, or accommodations will be provided upon request. Please contact the City Secretary’s Office, at least three (3) days prior to the scheduled meeting date, at (512) 930-3652 or City Hall at 113 East 8th Street for additional information; TTY users route through Relay Texas at 711. Trisha Tallman called the meeting to order at 9:04 AM. Board members in attendance were, T. Tallman, K. Hill, K. Curry, S. Rodocker, and D. Gaume. A. Adams and B. Nicholson were absent. No guests in attendance. Staff in attendance, Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager. Regular Session (This regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.) A. Call to order at 9:04 a.m. B. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the September 14, 2018 board meeting minutes – Trisha Tallman, Board Chair Motion by K. Hill to approve the minutes as presented. Second by D. Gaume. Approved: 5-0 C. Discussion and possible action on a Façade Grant Request for 714 S. Austin Avenue – Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager Motion by T. Tallman to postpone action on this item until the November meeting. Second by D. Gaume. Approved: 5-0 D. Project Team, Block Captains for BR&E, & Partner Updates K. Curry reported on the Breakfast Bites program that took place on Wednesday. There was a good turnout with 100 attendees. The next program will be December 12 and will feature Chief Sullivan and Chief Nero. K. Hill, S. Rodocker, and D. Gaume gave an update for the fundraising project team, collectible Christmas ornament has been ordered and should be here by the first of November. The fall art coaster has been postponed but the art will be used in a new way as part of a greeting card set. The fundraising items will be sold at the Visitors Center and also at a table outside the Visitors Center during special events. A Meet the Artist event will be held on November 2 at Artisans Connect and all board members are encouraged to attend. T. Tallman reported on this year’s Small Business Saturday plans. The merchant letter was sent out, at this time there are 21 sign ups and Aaron and Kim will be going door to door to remind merchants to sign up. S. Rodocker and T. Tallman reported on the Swirl planning. Kate Hill will serve as Junior Chair 2019. The team is continuing to work on details for the VIP portion of the event as well as logistics for the event. E. Staff Report Staff reported on new business additions and relocations in downtown. She also invited the board to attend the business appreciation lunch and bowl event at the end of the month. While she still cannot say who is going into the city buildings, there will be an announcement in the next month about the projects. Adjourn Motion by K. Curry to adjourn the meeting. Second by S. Rodocker. T.
