Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the September 9th board meeting minutes – Taylor Kidd, Board Chair Motion by C. Harrington to approve September 9th meeting minutes, second by J. Wilson. Approved 7-0. 3. Discussion and possible action regarding Main Street Façade & Sign Grant Program – Taylor Kidd, Board Chair Board discussion about September 25 city council workshop meeting and concerns by city council members of fire sprinkler systems, grant boundaries and purpose statement of grant program. Motion by V. Jackimiec to approve the grant purpose statement as, Georgetown Main Street Program’s Façade & Sign Grant Program provides resources which preserve, protect and enhance commercial property in the Downtown Overlay District., second by B. Nicholson. Approved 7-0. 4. Discussion and possible action on updates for the Historic Preservation Program and Downtown Projects – Matt Synatschk, Historic Planner M. Synatschk gave an update on HARC applications street sign sale. No action required. 5. Discussion and possible action regarding progress on Committee Reports – Taylor Kidd, Board Chair Progress on Committee reports was discussed. a) C. Harrington and B. Nicholson reported on the draft recap of the Table on Main 2nd Annual Event on October 2 including discussion of it in the future not being a Page 3 of 18 Page 2 of 2 fundraiser since it’s more of an economic development-related event and restaurants taking more ownership. No action required. b) J. Wilson and K. Curry gave an update on the Economic Vitality Committee including Breakfast Bites on November 9 on retail plan and strategy with new ED Director Michaela Dollar and Project Coordinator Andreina Davila, removal of Downtown Database from committee project list, next Downtown Low Down on October 19, San Marcos downtown visit on October 21, and realtor training in spring. No action required. c) T. Kidd reported that the Design Committee do not meet in October. No action required. d) V. Jackimiec gave an update on the Promotions Committee. Committee making project on 2017 Swirl, the first Shop Small video with Chet and Fielding Garner for Shop Small and Small Business Saturday was released on October 1 and has received numerous shares and likes on Facebook, also showing at surrounding movie theaters. No action required. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding Staff Report – Shelly Hargrove, Main Street Manager Georgetown Art Center Art Hop, City Vendor Forum at Chamber and annual Texas Downtown Conference in Killeen, November 8-11 No action required. 7. Discussion and possible action regarding grant applications –Taylor Kidd, Board Chair B. Daniel Solano – Sincerely Yours 1848, 809 S. Main St Danny presented his sign and façade grant application to the board for channel lettering sign on canopy and a metal canopy with hanger rods. This application hasn’t been approved by HARC yet. Motion by J. Wilson to approve sign and facade grant to Danny Solano for $500 for sign and $2,431.84 for canopy for a total of $2,931.84, second by K. Curry. Approved 4-0. (B. Nicholson absent). C. Chet Garner – Below the Jackalope, LLC, 112 W. 8th St. B. Nicholson arrived at 12:28 p.m. Chet presented his façade grant application for repair of hardwood flooring and replacement of roof. Motion by V. Jackimiec to approve facade grant to Chet Garner for $10,000, second by B. Nicholson. Approved 5-0. A. Kelly Lawley – MODE Design Company, 1102 S. Austin Ave., #103; Kelly presented sign grant for a hanging sign, main panel sign and vinyl signage and logo on glass. Motion by K. Board discussion about maximum amount available for two façade grants since city council is reviewing program. Motion by V. Jackimiec to table two façade grant applications until December 9 board meeting, second by B. Nicholson. Approved 5-0. 3. Discussion and possible action on updates for the Historic Preservation Program and Downtown Projects – Matt Synatschk, Historic Planner M. Synatschk gave an update on HARC applications on downtown parking consultant meeting, Austin Ave. bridges project status, historic resource survey status, Palace Children’s Theatre, 208 S. Austin Ave. residential addition, fixed route bus system, and public design charrettes for Williams Drive. No action required. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding progress on Committee Reports – Taylor Kidd, Board Chair Progress on Committee reports was discussed. a) K. Nicholson reported they didn’t meet due to lack of city staff present. No action required. d) T. Kidd reported that the Design Committee did not meet in November. No action required. 5.
