(Cheryl/Julie) · Review updated downtown overlay maps with revised block captains shown c) Select meeting date for monthly luncheon and restaurant location and notify Main Street board and committee members of next planned event. – Cheryl d) Update on Downtown Diva software for database- Vicki e) Target downtown buildings for specific new business mix – Bill/Bob/Cheryl · Update on list of downtown buildings that are currently available (All) · Goal 2: Raising Awareness and Funding for Main Street Program Projects a) Promote Façade & Sign Grant Program to business and property owners - All · Keep ongoing list of completed façade and sign grant recipients and schedule upcoming dates for check presentations: Galaxy Bakery (Marcy) · Schedule date a week in advance and confirm photographer and make sure photos are posted on city website and FB page. Invite all Board and Committee members to attend. (Marcy) · Goal 3: Promoting Downtown’s Image as a Signature Destination a) Promote and support downtown as a Cultural District by using the arts as E.D. – Bill/Julie · Partner with CVB, HARC and Arts & Culture Boards to visit successful downtowns to gain new ideas: Denton trip findings – Review by those who participated · Meet and plan with SU and GISD Fine Arts programs to promote student involvement and performance in downtown.
