Host Quarterly Breakfast Bites (Chet, Shelly): Discuss panel participants for X-Games and/or distribution of flyers with tentative date of February 19. B. Assemble and distribute packets with information about Main Street program and city programs (Marcy, Jim) C. Maintain contact with existing businesses to address their needs and concerns (All): Confirm new block assignments, updates. D. Expand and Update Downtown business & property owner database/create email distribution list (Vicki): Review training meeting and search for a software program. E. Promote local businesses through social media, print, videos and other events like Small Business Saturday: (Chet/Bethany/Marcy): Activity through video clips and discussion of “cash mob” plans. Goal 2: Raise Awareness and Funding for Georgetown Main Street Projects A. Partner with CVB and Arts & Culture Board to visit with successful downtowns that use arts as an economic development tool (Chet/Shelly): Finalize plans for Granbury visit on new date B. Encourage partnerships with SU and GISD Fine Arts program (Julie/Bill/Jim): Discuss plans with GISD meeting for First Fridays. C. Promote the Façade & Sign Grant Program (Marcy): Photo schedule for other businesses: ThunderCloud Subs; Dimmitt Bldg (Ellen Hughes); Camille's; Sweet Lemon; later…Cary Rabb's building (600 Degrees); Southern Hippie, The Screen Door and Pink Poppy ARTisans Boutique Goal 3: Promote Downtown's Image as a Signature Destination A. Attend bi-monthly College Town Committee meetings at SU (Jim/Marcy): Suggest topics for next meeting on February 27 in Dan Rather Room, SU. B. Explore signage options for downtown that recognize SU: (Shelly/Jim) Water tower repainting C. Encourage business partnerships with SU to promote student and staff involvement in downtown (Jim): Promotion of inaugural ladies lacrosse, tie-in of upcoming SU events. D. Promote sales of licensed SU merchandise through (LRG) Licensing Resource Group (Jim): Current plans.
