The Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 9:00 AM virtually over a Zoom Meeting.
The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you require

Aaron Adams called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Members, A. Adams, T. Tallman, C. Tomaszewski, K. Hill, D.
Gaume, and D. Wilks were in attendance. S. Rodocker entered the meeting at 9:30 AM.
Staff in attendance: Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager.
Guests in attendance: None.

A. Call to order at 9:00 a.m.
B. Discussion on how this virtual conference will be conducted, to include options for public comments and how
the public may address the Commission – Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager
Staff reviewed the virtual conduct for the meeting, reminded the board that the meeting was open and visible
to the public and would be recorded.
C. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the December 11, 2020 board meeting minutes – Aaron
Adams, Board Chair.
Motion by K. Hill to approve the minutes as presented. Second by T. Tallman.

D. Discussion and possible action on the Annual Main Street Accreditation - Aaron Adams, Board Chair & Kim
McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager
Staff reviewed the annual accreditation packet with the board for consideration of approval to submit to Texas
Main Street office. The self-evaluation and attached documentation is complete unless any modifications were
suggested. After review, no changes were made.
Motion by C. Tomaszewski to approve submission of the annual accreditation packet to the Texas Main Street
office as written. Second by D. Wilks.

E. Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE visits
a. Fundraising Team – K. Hill reported that we sold all of the ornaments and made $4,718.78 in
profits. We also sold all of the cards but we only made $85.74. The team is rethinking some of
the marketing and fundraising efforts for future.
b. Breakfast Bites – no updates, March will be the next one. We do not have a program set up yet.
We need to schedule a meeting.
c. Georgetown Swirl – C. Tomaszewski reported on the upcoming Swirl meeting and plans for an
alternative event for Swirl, a “Swirl To-Go” in place of the typical event. Next meeting will be on
January 20th at 4pm.
d. BRE visits – No visits this month, reaching out to a couple that are due. Talked with To Have &
To Hold, they are available on Jan 21st at 10:00 am. Reached out to Buffalo Seven and received

an email back from her. Want to follow back up because it sounds like she might be movin g to
online only operations.

F. Staff Report – Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager
Staff gave a report on the status of the façade grant budget.
New developments: The Exchange of Georgetown has moved, Mikey V’s Taco shop has moved, Hydrate
Smoothies, Juice and Sandwich Shop has announced their second location in downtown. Good Folks, city Post
and District Six are under construction. Nightingale Bistro has opened, all seating is outside in the beer garden, but
order can still take place at the counter inside.

This is to certify that pursuant to action by the City of Georgetown Historic Preservation Officer (HPO)
on the 19th day of August, 2020 the above referenced request for Certificate of Appropriateness (COA)
was approved, as detailed below.
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS REQUEST DESCRIPTION
The applicant’s request includes new signage, to include changes in content or configuration (re-facing)
that do not involve changes in sign location, dimensions, lighting or total sign area and changes to paint
color on previously painted surfaces on a high priority structure in the Downtown Overlay District. Per
Section 3.13 of the Unified Development Code, the HPO is the decision-maker for the items listed above.
The following list and attached documents represent the complete scope of work approved by the HPO:
• New signage to re-face the existing, approved façade and hanging signs that were approved via
CDC-2015-004 ( 36” x 12” under canopy Hanging Sign), CDC-2015-012 (72” x 36” or 18 sq. ft.
Primary Façade Sign) and CDC-2015-022 (32” x 20” or 4.44 sq. ft. Wall Sign).
• A paint color change to the façade from a cream primary color with dark brown trim and
accents to a white primary color with black trim and accents.
The following conditions were met by the applicant as determined by the HPO or their delegate.
1. The application submitted was complete and the information contained within the application
correct and sufficient enough to allow adequate review and final action.
2. Applicable design and development standards of the Unified Development Code and
Downtown and Old Town Design Standards specific to the applicable Historic Overlay
District.
• Meets Chapters 9 & 11 of the Downtown and Old Town Design Guidelines
This Certificate is revocable and does not confer any permanent rights. This Certificate expires 24 months
from the effective date if the approved work has not commenced.
