Georgetown, Texas.

Discussion on selected 2014-15 Strategic Action Plan Items
ITEM SUMMARY:
· Goal 1: Attracting & Retaining a Healthy Business Mix
a) Install uniform window signage for vacant downtown storefronts - Sheila/Shelly
· Identify vacant buildings and contact property owners
· Deliver signage to vacant buildings when needed
· Discuss the window wraps - Shelly
b) Raise awareness of the benefits of buying/leasing historic commercial property – Michael/Matt
· Partner with HARC to host semi-annual training for realtors
· Select dates and locations and promote through WCAR and other organ - Spring
c) Review Façade Guidelines to add HARC approval is required language per July board meeting

· Goal 2: Raising Awareness and Funding for Main Street Program Projects
a) Continue funding for annual “Light Up the Square” holiday lighting campaign through
collectible ornament fundraiser – David/Taylor
· Revise Plan for 2015 ornament
b) Continue annual “Light Up the Square” holiday lighting contest – Julie/Donna/Amanda
· Review contest success and changes needed
· Discuss changes to sign up form for 2016
· Goal 3: Promoting Downtown’s Image as a Signature Destination
· Follow up on mural signage (Ideal signs installation date) - Julie
· Look at having a landscape architect come and discuss ideas for entrances to downtown – (start
in January) -Amanda
a) Continue to explore the development of 8th St. Courtyard project – Amanda/Taylor/Shelly
· Partner with Arts & Culture Board to work with ThunderCloud on point of egress
· Evaluate feasibility of project with property owners – review meetings with property owners -
