Revise, assemble and distribute packets with information about Main Street and city programs (Julie,Bob,Bethany): Trifold brochure revision. C. Update Downtown business property owner database (Vicki): Report on “Downtown Diva” s/w used by many municipalities. E. Promote local businesses through social media, print, videos and other events (Marcy/Jim): F. Results of CVB tourism study. Discussion of “cash mob” plans. Goal 2: Raise awareness and funding for Georgetown Main Street Projects A. Partner with CVB and Arts & Culture Board to visit with successful downtowns that use arts as an economic development tool (Chet,/Shelly): Finalize plans for Granbury visit on March 21. B. Encourage partnerships with Southwestern University and GISD Fine Arts program (Julie/Bill): Feasibility feedback from GISD. C. Promote the Façade & Sign Grant Program (Marcy): Photo schedule for Camille and Company, Thundercloud Subs, Sweet Lemon. Goal 3: Promote downtown's image as a Signature Destination A. Attend bi-monthly College Town Committee meetings as Southwestern University (Jim): Updates from February 27 meeting: Dr. Burger's Inauguration, Schilling Lecture, Pirate Bike Day, host a student idea. B. Encourage business partnerships with Southwestern to promote student and staff involvement in downtown (Jim): Plans for football luncheon kick-off. C. Pirate card program for local businesses to encourage student/staff/faculty participation in downtown shops.
