· Goal 1: Attracting & Retaining a Healthy Business Mix
a) Acknowledge contributions made by downtown businesses promoting Georgetown
· Presenting Main Street Star Awards at quarterly Breakfast Bites or Downtown Low Down meetings –

· Organize and award Georgetown Swirl “Toast of the Town” people's choice awards - Cindy
b) Promote events to potential downtown businesses
· Review targeted list of businesses for downtown and determine opportunities with current downtown
events - Vicki
· Research national/international weird/unique dates to help spread the word on social media of ways
current businesses can promote themselves, i.e. Talk like a Pirate Day - Marcy
· Goal 2: Raising Awareness and Funding for Main Street Program Projects
a) Increase awareness of Small Business Saturday and funding for downtown lighting through annual
Ladies Nite Out to raise $5,000
· Determine event co-chairs – Janice/Cindy
· Pick theme, graphics and décor - Rocky
· Determine sponsorship levels and recruit sponsors
· Select volunteer coordinator
· Recruit downtown host businesses and possible Wolf Ranch partners (shopping, services and attractions)
· Secure entertainment and photographer
· Solicit giveaways for swag bags
· Coordinate advertising, publicity and printing of light pole banners – Shelly
· Promote and secure freebies for Shop Small Saturday promotion
· Evaluate event and celebrate success – Janice
b) Increase funding for the Façade & Sign Grant Program through the annual Georgetown Swirl to raise
$20,000 – Cindy/Vicki
· Recruit and hire contract fundraiser to raise $8,500 in sponsorships
· Determine sponsorship levels
· Determine participating Texas wineries - Shelly
· Determine participating local restaurants – Cindy/Kathy
· Determine participating retailers – Trisha

· Research fundraising methods of other downtowns, i.e. VIP level

· Goal 3: Promoting Downtown's Image as a Signature Destination
a) Use consistent image and message with marketing downtown
· Communicate with downtown organization liaisons/chairs the tourism study findings including CVB,
Chamber, GAW, SU, GHS, Palace, Williamson Museum and DGA – Jim/Shelly
· Explore and produce cooperative advertising and PR opportunities in print, radio, video and online
a) Attract locals and visitors to downtown
· Promote events on social media sites, in free monthly publications and free online event listings - Vicki
· Encourage board and committee members to like and share downtown and FB posts on their personal
social media pages
· Partner with realtors, SU, Wolf Ranch Sun City and others to cross-promote downtown when possible
