Christine Tomaszewski called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM. Members: Christine Tomaszewski, Michele Jaroszewski-Webb, Lauren Mendoza, Rachel Cummins, Trisha Tallman, and Jennifer Ridings-Myhra were in attendance. Absent – Bobby Weisbrod Staff in attendance: Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager, Sharon Parker, Board Liaison Guests in attendance: Regular Session (This regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.) A. Call to order at 9:03 a.m. B. Consideration and possible action regarding approval of the March 11, 2022, board meeting minutes –Christine Tomaszewski, Board Chair Motion by M. Jaroszewski-Webb to approve the minutes as presented. Second by J. Ridings-Myhra . Approved: 6-0 C. Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE visits a. BRE Visits – no visits this month b. Fundraising – no major updates, will get started on Christmas ornament soon. c. Blazin Beer Crawl – August 6th, will meet next month. Christine is on the committee, Jennifer volunteered to be on the committee as well. d. Small Business Week Workshops – May 2-6, will have workshops daily, we will host a opening main street mixer first then workshops will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. e. Preservation Month is May, will also incorporate Georgetown’s 40th anniversary. Proclamation will be at the May 10th City Council meeting. f. Next week landscaping of the beds should start, planting flowers and a few trees. g. Partner update – Michelle – Chamber of Commerce CEO Interviews coming up – we have 8 great candidates, hopefully fill position by June D. Staff Report – Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager Façade Grant balance is $33,401.00 about $20,000.00 is encumbered. We have about $55,000 - $60,000 from CAFR. I have requested $40,000.00 of that. The Boards met at the Dr. Pepper Museum Board Room. The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The meeting started at 10:13 am A. Call to order at 10:13 a.m. B. Welcome and Overview Board members and staff introduced themselves and gave a brief description of their position. They also discussed what they are looking forward to learning at the retreat. C. Discussion and possible action on the Economic Development: Downtown Development and Arts & Culture One-Year Workplan Staff and Board members reviewed the departments missions and discussed the department goals. Board members volunteered to help lead various goals for the year. The final version of the workplan with the board commitments will be presented at the June meeting. The Main Street Advisory Board and the Arts & Culture Advisory Board went into their separate advisory board meetings at 11:30 am. D. Review mission, vision, and bylaws Staff and Board reviewed the current bylaws, Kim reported that the City of Georgetown is currently reviewing all bylaws for all boards throughout the city. They are wanting them to be consistent. There will be no changes needed for Main Street bylaws with this change taking place across all city boards and commissions. No Action Needed. E. Discussion of Main Street 40th Year Anniversary Minutes of a Meeting of the Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas Thursday, May 12, 2022 Page 6 of 22 Staff and Board discussed ideas and thoughts for the 40th year anniversary. Several board members volunteered to help with planning this celebration. There will be future discussions at board meetings moving forward. No Action Needed. Motion by T. Tallman to adjourn the meeting. Second by, R. Cummins . The meeting was adjourned at 12:16 PM.
