At the time of posting, no persons had signed up to address the Board. Legislative Regular Agenda B. Icebreaker between Steering Committees – Carter Coleman, APD Urban Planning and Nat Waggoner, AICP, PMP, Asst. Planning Dir., - Long Range • Steering Committee members introduced themselves and shared thoughts on process thus far. C. Presentation by APD – Carter Coleman, APD Urban Planning and Grace Barrett APD Urban Planning Barret and Coleman provided summary of Community Meeting 3 feedback and explanation of Implementation Plan including a discussion of: The role of Neighborhood in implementation of Plan(s)- • APD provided an overview of the strategies for community engagement that received the most positive response at the third community meeting including the creation of a neighborhood association and continued neighborhood townhalls. Page 6 of 8 Joint Steering Committee Minutes Page 2 of 2 December 13, 2021 Understanding the Implementation section of the Plan(s)- • How to read the document and understand the timeline, partnerships and budget required for each strategy and where the steering committee is needed most to engage. E. Steering Committee Breakouts - Grace Barrett, Carter Coleman • Steering Committees broke out into their separate neighborhoods and voted on which strategies they wanted to prioritize. o Strategies most important to TRG were to form a neighborhood association, work on improving housing conditions, and support youth programming o Strategies most important to San Jose were to form a neighborhood association, educate neighbors on how home improvement programs could impact their property taxes, and improve infrastructure at the San Jose Park (better lighting and gazebos) • Each Steering Committee presented their priorities to the whole group. T he presentation will als o include a s ummary of the remaining steps of the neighborhood planning proc es s inc luding tentative dates for adoption. T his meeting will include opportunities for the S teering C ommittee to ask ques tions and share their pers pectives on the implementation action items, their timing and their intended effec t.
