The Georgetown City Council will meet on JUNE 26, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at Fire Station 5, 3600 DB Wood
Road, Georgetown, Texas
The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you

SUBJECT:
This is a special meeting of the City Council. Council Members have been invited to participate in the GFD
Interactive Program.
NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN
ITEM SUMMARY:
The interactive program that the Fire Department has designed for Council's understanding of the various
aspects of Fire Department Operations will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014. It will begin at 5:00 PM at
Station Number 5, 3600 DB Wood Road.
The 4 hour interactive program will include a live re-enactment of technical rescue/rope rescue, structure
fire, discussion on advanced medical services, hazardous material mitigation, swift water rescue and more.
The GFD is hoping some Council members will be willing to “suit-up” and go into a live fire situation to
really “feel the heat” and understand the dynamics of fire behavior.
