Brandenburg, City Manager. ITEM SUMMARY: The City Council met on Saturday, February 8, 2014 to conduct a visioning workshop. The City Council was able to collaboratively work together to formulate strategic goals to match up with the City of Excellence's foundation of its five (5) priority focus areas of Economic Development, Public Safety, Transportation, Signature Destination, and Utilities. On February 25, 2014, the City Council approved the strategic goals for the five (5) priority focus areas. (attached). The City staff has reviewed and analyzed each specific strategic goal and has developed strategies, costs, and timelines for each of these strategic goals (attached). The purpose of the Visioning Session II is for the City Council to rank and prioritize the strategic goals under each focus area. Upon Council direction and action, City staff will then incorporate the priority items into the proposed FY 2014-15 Budget. ATTACHMENTS 1. Strategic Goals. 2. Strategic Goals, Proposed Strategies, Costs and Timelines. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Priorities, Goals and Strategies will be incorporated into the proposed FY 2014-15 Budget. Consideration for a motion of reappointment would be effective June 1, 2014. Surveys of staff and other parties that work with the Judge have been completed and compiled. That information, along with evaluation criteria and information, were provided to the Council at the April 8, 2014 meeting.
