Brandenburg, City Manager ITEM SUMMARY: This hearing will provide an overview of the proposed 2011/12 Annual Budget and opportunity for public comment. The proposed 2011/12 Annual Budget workbook and final summary are available for public review at the Public Library, located at 808 Martin Luther King or at City Hall located at 113 E. 8th Street. The information is also available on the City’s website. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS This public hearing fulfills the requirements of the Texas Local Government Code, Section 102.006 providing public comment on the proposed 2011/12 Annual Budget. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The proposed 2011/12 Budget is $179,117,634 as directed by the Council at the July 12, 2011 meeting. This budget also includes certificates of obligation bond issue for internal service fund equipment and transportation improvements, as well as General Obligation debt issuance for the Public Safety Facility that was approved by the voters May of 2011. She would like the item to be regarding the feasibility of Municipal Corporations for utilities. This issue has been on the Council project log for the past couple of years.
