HomeMy WebLinkAboutElda Heselmeyer Day_11.2018 PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Elda Zeplin was born to Ella and Gus Zeplin in Wuthrich Hill, Texas, near Taylor, on November 8th, 1916; and WHEREAS, the Zeplin family farmed corn and cotton and Elda was taught the value of hard work; and WHEREAS, Elda married Willy Heselmeyer, a boy she grew up with, and they moved to Taylor, where they farmed for a living and danced and went fishing for fun and enjoyment ; and WHEREAS, Elda was married to Willy for 72 years and had two sons, Kenneth and David and says that her happiest memories are those of raising her boys and fishing with Willy; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Heselmeyer loves her grandkids, great grandkids, playing bingo, dominoes and cards, and having breakfast with her son Kenneth every morning; and WHEREAS, Elda advises all to enjoy life to the fullest and do things while you are still able, because time goes by fast. NOW, THEREFORE, I, DALE ROSS, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, do hereby proclaim November 8, 2018 as ELDA HESELMEYER DAY In Georgetown, Texas
