HomeMy WebLinkAboutHolley Kitchen Day_11.2018 PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Holley Kitchen was a beloved Daughter, sister, mother and wife who dreamed of watching her two boys grow up happy and healthy; and WHEREAS, she was full of life, love, and passion for her family; and WHEREAS, she was a strong believer in all things natural. Holley did a tremendous amount of research around toxic chemicals put into everyday products and she made sure that these products were not used by her family. WHEREAS, Holley left a legacy to hundreds if not thousands of women about her 3 -year struggle with Breast Cancer and making sure she shared her story on how very important it is to do self-examinations along with yearly mammograms; and WHEREAS, Holley believed in “LIVE THE DASH”. How we spend our time on earth is determined by each of us and living life to its fullest was her mission. The time between your birth and death is your dash; and WHEREAS, Holley participated in many support groups who benefited from just knowing her and loving her passion for life. She never met a stranger. Holley would be proud that we are honoring her on this day and knowing that she will never be forgotten. NOW, THEREFORE, I, DALE ROSS, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, do hereby proclaim November 2, 2018 as HOLLEY KITCHEN DAY In Georgetown, Texas
