PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Goodwater Montessori School will soon participate in the Earth Repair Corps
movement; and
WHEREAS, the Mission of the Earth Corps is to create abundance through good design by
significantly increasing educational opportunities for regenerative systems, including the conservation of soils
and waters, the cultivation of annual and perennial food crops, the construction of natural and sustainable
communities and the restoration of natural ecosystems; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is pleased to congratulate the Goodwater Montessori School for
their important contributions to the environment, especially noted, today, which is Earth Day; and
WHEREAS, Earth Day is an annual reminder of the constant need for environmental activism,
stewardship commitments and sustainability efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DALE ROSS, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, do hereby proclaim the 22nd of April, 2019 as:
GOOD WATER MONTESSORI DAY
