PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Georgetown High School Golf Team, under the leadership of Head Coach Chris
Hill and staff, is to be recognized and honored for their outstanding 2021 golf season, and;
WHEREAS, the team has a motto, “Eagle Fight Never Dies”, and the student athletes are provided
an opportunity to understand and exhibit teamwork, dedication, and commitment, as well as, the
lifelong value of a hard work ethic, and;
WHEREAS, their families and coach exemplify the pride and heart of the Georgetown High School
Golf Program; and the GHS Eagle boys’ team participated in their fourth Texas UIL Championship
in the 30+ year life of the program; and
WHEREAS, the players, coaches, parents and supporters have all come together in making a truly
championship team, resulting in the team participating in the 2021 UIL 5A State Championship,
and;
WHEREAS, the Georgetown City Council would like to congratulate the coaches and players of the
Georgetown High School Golf Team for securing Georgetown’s place in a State Title Class 5A finals
game, held April 2021 in San Antonio.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSH SCHROEDER, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS
call on all citizens of the community to join with family and friends in honoring the
2021 GEORGETOWN HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM
