Many operators stayed at the emergency center to take calls and assist other departments with calls while their own families were also without power and water, working together as an outstanding team; and WHEREAS, during emotional times and throughout the year, their diligent efforts, specialized skills, calmness, and caring presence are invaluable in ensuring help is on the way when it is needed the most and they exemplify the motto, “Georgetown Cares”. NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSH SCHROEDER, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, do hereby proclaim April 11 through April 17, 2021 as: PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK In Georgetown, Texas
