HomeMy WebLinkAboutGertrude Saterfield P R O C L A M A T I O N WHEREAS, Gertrude Saterfield was born on January 26, 1946 in Round Rock, Texas, attended Round Rock public schools and married Charles Curtis Saterfield Jr. To this union were born four children and she is also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren; and WHEREAS, her career accomplishments include a successful career in nursing for many years at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital where she was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award; and WHEREAS, Gertrude is active in both her church and community by serving as church clerk, member of the Usher board and kindergarten Sunday school teacher at Macedonia Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, she is the Secretary of the LaGrange District Association, Chair of the Usher Auxiliary of the Southern Region, served for many years as treasurer for the Georgetown fellowship of churches and she is a member of the Georgetown Cultural Citizens Memorial Association of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, Gertrude’s hobbies include traveling and preparing great homemade meals and baked goods, and she especially enjoys trying new recipes and sharing them with her friends and family both at home and church. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE GARVER, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, do hereby commend and congratulate Gertrude Saterfield for her service to the community.
