F Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution, amending Resolution No. 112310-D,
finding public convenience and necessity and authorizing eminent domain proceedings, if
necessary, for the acquisition of +42.448 acre of real property and easements from George J. Shia
and Forrest N. Troutman, Co -Trustees for the Lera Brock Hughes Trust No. 2, to effectuate
certain public right-of-way and utility infrastructure improvements in connection with the
Southeast Arterial One Road Project -- Terri Calhoun, SR/WA, R/W-NAC, Real Estate Services

G Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution authorizing a Multiple Use Agreement

Engineer Required?

Why have Pre -Qualification Lists of
Engineers and Surveyors?
• Council directed staff to develop procedure to
hire Engineers and Surveyors, the Procurement
Process was presented in December 2009.
• The process proposed development of a general
RFQ resulting in Pre -Qualified Firms to be used
on utilities Capital Improvement Projects.
• Reduce time to hire engineers and staff time if
went for RFQ for each contract.
Process Used to Develop
Pre -Qualification Lists
• Advertised in the Williamson County Sun, posted
on the website, and notified vendors on
Purchasing Lists.
• Held a pre -submittal meeting with over 100
professional attendees.
• Received 69 Statements of Qualifications (SOQ)
from engineers and surveyors.
— Firms identified areas in which they are best qualified to
serve the city.

Evaluation Process
• The evaluation team consists of GTAB and GUS
Board member city staff from GUS.
• General Evaluation Criteria
— Experience with City of Georgetown, Williamson County,
Edward Aquifer Recharge Zone, experience with similar
size municipals
— Project Manager and staff
— Experience with projects of similar size, complexity, and
design.
