CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FOR TIM YEAR 1921 BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: SECTION. That to meet the current expenses of the City of Georgetown,Texas, and to carry on the City Govern -rent of the said City for the year of 1921, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorum tax of twenty five cents of the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 19210 of all real and personal property and estate in the city of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. SECTION 2. That to work and grade and improve the streets of the city of Georgetown, Texas for the year 1921, ther is here ,and now levied and shall be collected the annual ad valorum tax of fifteen cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 19212 of all real -and personal property and estate in the said city of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and -laws of the State of Texas. SECTION 3. That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $7,000.00 in bonds of the city known as "The City of Georgetown Refunding School house Bonds" as evidenced by seven (7) $1,000000 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of refunding, cancal- ing and in lieu of certain bonds known as "Public School Building Bonds", as shown by ordinance of this city, passed and approved on Na%etber 13, 1905, such ordinance being Sections 117 to 129, inclus- ive of the R evisdd Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the city of Georgetown,Texas, and as approved in said ordinance.there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1921, an annual ad valorum tax of three. cents on the $10.0.00 assessed valuation for the year 1921, of all realt1and personal property and estate in the city of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under the provisions of this section shall be used for no other purpose than herein specified. SECTION 4. That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the 32,000.00 in bonds of this city known as "City of Georgetown Waterworks Bonds", as evidenced by thirty two $1,000.00 unpaid bands, issued for the purpose of constructing a waterworks plant in the city of Georgetown, Texas, as shown by ordinance of this city, pas ed and approved on Oct 19th, 1910, and as provided in said ordinance, there is here and now levied and shall be collected for the year 1921, an annual ad valorum tax of twelve cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1921, of all real and personal property and estate in the city of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and the amount of taxes collected under the provision of this section shall constitute a special fund and shall be tLsed for no other purpose than that herein specified. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet and pay $13,000.00 in bonds 6f the said City of Geor§etown, Texas and known as "City of Georgetown Electric Light Bonds , as evidenced by thirteen 01,000.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of constructing an electric light plant in the said City, as shown by ordinance passed and approved on Oct. 18th, 1910, and as provided in the'said ordinance, there shall be levied and collected an annual ad valorum tax for the year 1921 of five cents on each $100.00 assessed valuation of all property in said City, real and personal for the said year; save such as is exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Tex- as, said taxes so collected shall be used solely for the said purpose. SECTION 7. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund, to meet and pay $13,000.00 in bonds of the said City og George- town.. Texas, known as the *City of Georgetown Waterworks Bonds, Second Series", as evidenced by twenty. seven $500.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the purpose of completing the waterworks plant in - said City, as shown by ordinance of the said City, passed and ap- proved on Dec. 8th, 1913, and as provided in the said ordinance, there shall be levied and collected for the year 1921, an annual ad valorum tax of five cents on each $100.00 assessed valuation of all property real and personal, for said year, in said city; not exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Said taxes so collected shall be used solely for the said purpose. SECTION 8. That the ordinance passed and approved December 13th, 1920, and entitled"An ordianance levying taxes for the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the year 1921, is hereby repealed. SECTION 9. That all ordinances of the said City in con- flict with this ordinance is hereby repealed. Passed and approved this 9th day of May, 1921. ► May o -of etown - xa - - - � � g es.
