TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR OF 1922.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE SAID CITY OF
GEORGWOWN, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That to meet'the current expenses of the said City, and
to carry on the government of the said City, for the year of 1922,
there shall be levyed and collected an annual advalorum tax of twenty-
five cents of the assessed valuation of each one hundred($100.00)Dol-
lars of all real and personal property in the City of Georgetown, Tex-
as, on the first day of .January 1922; except such property as may be
exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of
Texas. ,$..
SECTION II. That to ;work, grade and improve the streets and alleys of
the said Ciliy, for the year of „1922, there shall be levyed and collect-
ed an annual advalorum tax of th_ irty :cents on each one hundred($100. 00 )
ijollars, assessed valuation, of all property, real and personal, in the
said City on the first day of January, 1922; except such property as
may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the
State of Texas.
SECTION III.." That for the purpose of equipping and r.aintaining the
Fire i)epartyent of the said City, for 'the year of 1922, there shall be
levied and collected an annual advalorum tax of five",cents on the as-
sessed valuation of each one hundred( $100. 00) Dollars of all property,
real and personal, in the said City on the first day of January 1922:
except such property aL may be exempt from taxation under the constitu-
tion and lags of the State of Texas.
SECTION IV. To pay the interest, and create a sinking fund, to meet and
pay $7, 000.00, in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as the"City of
Georgetown Refunding School Bonds", as evidenced by seven bonds in the
sum of $1, 000. 00 each, issued for the purpose of cancelling and in lieu
of certain bonds, known as"Public School Bonds", as shown by ordinance of
the said City, passed and approved lyove:::ber 13th, 1905; there shall be
levied and collected .an annual advalorum tax for the year of 1922, of
three cents on each one hundred($100.00)Dollars, assessed valuation, of
all property, real and personal, in the said City on the first day of
,January 1922; except such property as may be exempt from taxation under
the constitution and laive of the State of Texas. Said taxes to be used
solely for said purpose:
SECTION V. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the
payment of $32,000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as
"City of Georgetown Waterworks Fronds", as evidenced by thirty-two bonds
inthe sum of $1,000.00 each, issued for the purpose of constructing a
waterworks plant in the said City:;., as shown by ordinance of the said
City, passed and approved October 19th, 1910; there shall be levied and
collected for the year of 1922, an annual advalorum tax of twelve cents
on each one hundred( $100. 00) Dollars, assessed valuation, of all proper-
ty real and personal, in the said City, onthe first day of January 1922;
except such property as may be exempt from taxation under the constitu-
tion and laws of the State of Texas, The said taxes to be used solely
for the said purpose.

$13, 000. 00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as "City of George-
town Electric Light Bonds", as evidenced by thirteen bonds in the sum
of $1, 000.00 each, issued for the 'purpose of constructing an electric
light plant in the said City, as shown by an ordinance passed and approv
ed by said city, October 18th, 1910; there shall be levied and collect-
ed an annual advalorum tax, for the year of 1922, of five cents on each
one hundred($100.00)D611ars, assessed valuation, of all property in the
said City, real and personal, on the first day of January 1922; except
such as may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and laas of
the atate of Texas, Said taxes to be used solely for the ,said purpose.
SECTION VII. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet and
pay $13, 000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, and known as the "City
of Ueorgetown Waterworks Bonds, Second Series", ::is evidenced by twenty-
seven bonds in the sum of $500.00 each, issued for the purpose of com-
pleting the waterworks plant in the said City, as shown by ordinance of
the said City, passed and approved December 8th, 1913; there shall be
levies and collected an annual advalorum tax for the year of 1922, of
five cents on each one' Hundred( $100.00) T)ollars , assessed valuation of
all property, real and personal, in the said City on the first day of
January 1922; except such may be exempt from taxation under the con-
stitution and laws of the State of Texas, Said taxes so collected to be
ued solely for the said purpose.
SECTION VIII. That all ordinances of the said City, in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
