LAWFUL TO KEEP HOGS '`:WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS OF THE SAID CITY; AND FIXING
A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF' THE PROVISIONS THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, THAT, it shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to 4eep any
hog or hogs in any house, lot, pen, or pasture within two hundred feet
of any public park, business house, or private residence, located or
situated in all of that portion of the said City of Georgetown, Texas, ly-
and being situated East of and North of the following line to -hit: Be-
ginniug at the North City Limits at_the point where the ravine that
flows in a Northerly direction from the Ice Factory flows into the
South San Gabriel River, near the Korth end of Rock Street; Thence in a
Southerly direction up the center of the said ravine to the center of
Sixth Street; thence in a Westerly direction with the center of Sixth
Street to the center of the main track of the International & Great
Northern Railway Company; Thence in a Southerly direction with the
center of the main track -of the said Railway of the said Railway Com-
pany to it's intersection with the Oil Mill Switch and Transfer Track,
that connects the said Railway Company's track with the main track of
the M. K. &. T. Railway Company; Thence in a Southerly and Easterly
direction along the center of the said Oil bill Switch and Transfer
Track to tho South Line ofthe corperate limits of the said City.
Tnat any person violating any of the provisions of this or-
dinance shall be fined in any sum not less than one nor more than one
hundred Dollars; and that each day of the said violation shall consti-
iute a separate offense.
That the provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to
shipping pens used solely for that purpose, when hogs are permitted to
remain therein only a sufficient length of time reasonably necessary to
accomplish that end.
That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect from
and ai 4er ninety days after it's passage.
That all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
