,ACTION 1. That to meet the current expenses of the said City,
in carrying on the government of the City, for the year of 1922,
there shall be levied and collected an annual advalorum tax of tir;enty-
five cents of the assessed valuation of each one hundred(„100.00)
DOLLtiRS, of all real and personal property in the City of Georgetown,
Texas, on the first day of January, 1922; except such property as
may be exempt from taxation, -ender the constitution and lat-:"s of the
State of Texas.
SECTION II. To meet the current expenses of said City, in �,. ork-
ing; grading and improving the streets and alleys of the said City,
for the year 1922, there shall be levied and collected an annual ad-
valorum tax of tventy cents on each one hundred($100.00)DOLLARS, as-
sessed valuation, of all property, real and personal, in the said
City on the first day of January, 1922; except such property as may
be exempt from taxation under the constitution and lags of the State
of Texas.
SECTION III. To meet the current expenses of said City, in e-
cuipping and maintaining the Fire Department of the said City, for
the year of 1922,,there shall be levied and collected an annual ad-
valorum tax of tti:enty cents on the assessed valuation of each one
hundred($100.00)DOLLATS, of all property, real and personal, in the
said City, on the first day of January 1922; except such property as
may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and lags of the
State of Texas.
SECTION. IV. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund,
to meet and pay $7,000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as
the "City of Georgetown Refunding School Bonds", as evidenced by
seven bonds in the sum of :1�p1,000.00 each, issued for the purpose of
cancelling and in lieu of certain bonds, known as "Public School
Bonds", as shown by ordinance of the said City, passed and approved
Nove;lber 13th, 1905: there shall be levied and collected an annual
advalorum tax for the year of 1922, of three cnets on each one hun-
dred($100.00)DOLIAT",S, assessed valuation, of all property, real and
personal, in the said City, on the first day of January 1922; except
such property as may be exempt from taxation under the constitution
and laws of the State of Texas. Said taxes to be used solely for
said purpose.
SECTION V. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to
meet the payment of $32,000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City,
,nown as "City of Georgetown '�,ateT-Torks Bonds," as evidenced by
thirty-two bonds in the sum of $1000:00, each, issued for the ur-

pose of constructing a uatervorks plant in the said City, as shown by
ordinance of the said City, passed �:,nd approved October 19th, 1910;
there shall be levied and collected for the year of 1922, an annual ad-
valcr:::m tax of twelve cents on each one hundred($100.00)DOLI,ARS, assess-
ed valuation of all Yroperty real and personal, in the said City, on
the first day of January, 1922; except such property as may be exempt
from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas.
The said taxes to be used solely for the said purpose.
SECTION VI. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund
:to meet and pay $13,000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as
"City of Georgetown 2lectric Light Bonds," as evidenced by thirteen
bonds in the sum of $1,000.00 each, issued for the purpose of construc-
ting an electric light plant in the said City, as shown by an ordinance
passed and approved by said City, October 18th, 1910; there shall be
levied and collected an annual advalorum tax, for the year 1922, of five
cents an each one hundred(:$100.00)DOLLARS, assessed valuation, of all
property in the said City, real and personal, on the first day of Oan-
uary,-1922; except such as may be exempt from taxation under the consti-
tution and laws of the State of Texas. Said taxes to be used solely for
the said purpose.
SECTION VII. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to
meet and pay 113,000.00 in unpaid bonds of the said City, and -known as
the "City of Georgetown `-aterworks Bonds, Second Series," as evidenced
by twenty seven bends in the sum of $500.00 each, issued for the purpose
of completing the waterworks plant in the said City, as shown by ordin-
ance of the said City, passed and approved December 8th, 1913; there
shall be levied and collected an annual advalorum tax for the year of
1922, of five cents on each one hundred($l00.00)DO1!.kRS, assessed valua-
tion of all property, real and ,personal, in the said City, on the first
day of January 1922; except such as may be exempt from taxaticn under
the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Said taxes so collected
to be used solely for the said purpose.
SECTION VIII. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund,
to meet the payment of 85,000.00 in bonds, of the city of Georgetown,
known as "City of Georgetown Street Bonds", the said bonds to be issued
under and by virtue of an ordinance of the City of Georgetown, passed
and approved on the loth day of April, A. v. 1922; providing for the
issuing of the said bonds; and for the levying and collecting of a tax
to pay the interest and create a sinking fund, to meet and pay same;
there shall be levied and collected for the year 1922, an annual adval-
orum tax of tt: enty-seven ce r-As on each one hundred($100.00 )DOLLARS , as-
sessed valuation, of all real and personal property, in the City of
Georgetown, on the first day of January of 1922, except such property as
may be exempt from taxation, under the constitution and laws of the State
of Texas. The said taxes so levied and collected shall be used solely
for the said purpose.
SECTION IX. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
SECTION X. That the fact that it is necessary to provide
for the -levy and collection of taxes for 7 the City of Georgetown, Tex-
as, in the manner herein' provided creates a public necessity and emer-
gency and that therefore this ordinance shall take effect upon it's
passage and approval.
