BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIC SAID CITY OF GEORCI; T01M, TEXAS: Section 1. That to meet the current expenses of the said City, and to carry on the government of the said City, for the year 1922, there shall be levied and collected an annual ad-valorum tax of twenty- five cents of the assessed valuation of each one hundred($100.00)DOL- LARS, of all real and personal property, in the City of Georgetown, Texas, on the lst day of January, 1922, except such property as may be exempt from taxation under the -constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Section 2. That to work, grade and improve the streets and alleys of the said City, for the year 1922, there shall be levied and collect- ed an annual advalorum tax of thirty cents on each one hundred($100.00) DOLLAR , assessed valuation, of all property, real and persanal, in the said City,on the lst day of January, 1922; except such property as may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Section 3. That for the purpose of equipping and maintaining the Fire Department of the said City, for the year 1922, there shall be levied and collected an annual advalorum tax of five cents on the as- sessed valuation of each one hundred($100.00)DOLJARS, of all property, real and personal, in the said City, on the lst day of January, 1922; exempt such property as may be exempt from taxation under the consti- tution and laws of the State of Texas. Section 4. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund, to meet and pay 47,000.00, in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as the "City of Georgetown Refunding School Bonds", as evidenced by seven bonds in the sum of �1,000.00, each, issued for the purpose of cancelling and in lieu of certain bonds, known as "Public School Bonds", as shown by or- dinance of the said City, passed and approved November 13th, 1905; there shall be levied and collected an annual advalorum tax,for the year 1922, of three cents on each one hundred(�?`100.00)DOLLARS. assessed valuation, of all property, _real and personal, in the said City on the first day of January 1922; except such property as may be exempt from Taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas, Said taxes to be used solely for said purpose. Section 5. Section 6. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet and pay �13,000.00, in unpaid bonds of the said City, known as "City of George- town, Electric Light Bonds", as evidenced by thirteen bonds in the sum of �1,000.00 each, issued for the purpose of constructing an electric light plant in the said City, as shown by an ordinance passed and ap- proved by said City, October 18 th, 1910; there stall be levied and col- lected an annual advalorum tax, for the year 1922, of five cents on each one hundred($100.00)DOLLARS, assessed valuation, of all property in the said City, real and personal, on the first day of January, 1922; except such as may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas. Said taxes to be used solely for the said purpose. Section 7. To pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet and pay ?13,000.00, in unpaid bonds of the said City, and knoyn as the "City of Georgetown ':'aterworks Bonds, second Series,", as evidenced by twenty- seven bonds in -Llhe sum of #500.00 each, issued for the purpose of com- pleting the waterworks plant in the said City, as shown by ordinance of the said City, passed and approved December 8th, 1913; there shall be levied and collected an annual advalorum tax, for the year 1922, of five cents on each one hundred($100.00)DOL,�ARS assessed valuation of all property, real and personal, in the said City, on the first day of January, 1922; except such as may be exempt from taxation under the constitution and laws of the State of Texas, Said taxes so collected to be used solely for the said purpose.
