ULATIVE AND FIXING A PENALTY AMID DECLARING AN =RGANCY.
BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas.
Section,l. That when any section of any street of the
said City has been marked of for parking automobiles or other
vehicles thereon, and the said markings shall appear thereon,
extending out from the curb, then in such event, it shil be
unlawful for any driver or operator of any vehicle to park
or stop the same at any place along the said section of the said
street, other than within the said parking space, and between
the lines extending out from the curb, making such parking
space. That any driver or operator of any automobile or other
vehicle, who shall willfully and knowingly park or stop such
automobile or other vehicle at any other placeon such sector
of said street so marked for parking, at a place other than
between the said -lines so -indicating said parking space shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction shall be
fined in any sum not to exceed One Hundred Dollars.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of
and in addition to all other ordinances regulating traffic;
within the said City.
Section 3. That the fact that there is no law requir-
ing that vehicles be parked or stopped within the parking
space indicated on a street, makes a public necessity that
this ordinance be pa8sed under a suspension of the rules and
that it take effect from and after its passage and publication.
