BE IT O TDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown; Section 1. That section 1V of the Gas Franchise ordinance, being ordinance No , passed and approve on April 19,1928, granting to the Community Natural Gas Company a Franchise for the construction and operation of a gas distributing plant or system in the City of Georgetown, Texas, be and is hereby amended so as to read as followss "Section 1V. The rate to be charged by Grantee for natural gas sold under this ordinance, is hereby fixed as follows: The sum of seventy-five (75) cents gross per thousand cubic feet for natural gas for domestic purposes; PROVIDED, that this rate shall be subject to a discount of ten per cent (10%) if payment is made within ten .(10) days from the date of the monthly billing. The rate herein provided, however, shall be subject to revision and change by the City Council in the manner provided by law." Section 11. The fact that there is some confusion as to the period of time to which the discount privilege applies under Section 1V of the aforesaid Franchise Ordinance, creates a public necessity and an emergency requiring the suspension of the rules, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
