An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Geoegetown, Texas, amending
the Zoning Ordinance which went into effect on September 21, 1961, amending the
Zoning District Map and making this amendr;rent a part of the map of the original
ordinance; to change the hereinafter described real estate in said City from "r-l",
One Family Dwelling District, to "b-1", Local Retail District, as hereinafter
set forth.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas:
11JEREAS' an application has been arrcle to the City Council for the purpose
of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate:
All that certain tract, lot or parcel of land, lying and being situated
in the City of Georgetown in Williamson County, Texas, and being described as
follows, to -wit:
BEING a part of Lots 1 and 2 in Block "E" )f the Dalrymple Addition to s^;d
Town of Georgetown and described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point where the East line of Forest Street.and the Soutn line
of University Avenue intersect, being the commonly accepted NIX corner of Lot. 1
of said Block "E" od Dalrymple Addition;
TIIENCE East with the South line of University Avenue 61 feet, the upper
NE corner hereof, being also the N'19 corner of a lot of land conveyed by Mrs.
Rosa Peterson to Paul E. M-,mson, by deed 'dated June 6, 1931, recorded in Vol. 257,
Page 617, Deed Records of 11"illiamson County, Texas;
THENCE South 120 feet, parallel with the East line of Forest Street, to
corner, being S1' corner of said Paul E. Munson Lot in the North line of a tract
conveyed to Noel Daniel;
T}II\ICE `North with the East line of forest Street, 120 feet to the Place
of I3eginning.
A`ID 1'4IERI:AS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the zoning
Ordinance to the City T'lanning Commission for its recommendation and report; and,
!) 11}IEI�I1S, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said
Zoning Ordinance on the above describer) property from "TZ-1", One family D%%,ellinR
District, to "}?-1", Local Retail District, which said meeting was held on \ovember
23, 1965; and,
+ (I�IZEAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment -to the 'Zoning Ordin-
ance cave notice of such }rearing by publishing the same three times in the 1'.'illiamson
County Sun, a weekly neIvspaper in the City of Geor!;etOWD, Texas, irlrich said notice
stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was riot earlier than fifteen
(15) days from the first day of such publication; and,
1I}EIZFAS, the City Planning Corv.:ission approved the change aforesaid in the
Zoning Ordinance; and no protest was entered against the proposed change; and,
1'3I1IM1.9, written notices were given to all of the owners of lots within
two hundred (9-00) feet of the above described property, as required by law;
N011,', THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown
that the 'Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning }Sap of the City of Georgetown be amended
so that the property above described shall be and the same. is hereby removed from
"r-1", One Family lhvellinh District, to "B-1", Local Detail District.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preser-
vation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of' the
municipal department, it is declared to be rin emergency measure, which shall
have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
