AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEIIEINAFTER DISCRIBED TERR,IT'ORY TO THE
CITY OF GEORGETOIINI, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TL-KAS, AND L' MN -DING TILE
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID I[ER,EINAFTER DE-
SCRIBEC PROPERTY WITHIN TIIE CITY LIMITS, AND GIANTING TO SAID TERRITORY
AND TO ALL INIIABITANTS , PRESENT AND FRT'URE, OF SAIL) PROPERTY ALL OF THE
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF ALL OTIIER CITIZEN'S AND BINDING SAID INIIABITANTS
IIY ALL THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY AND CONTAINING L'I<IERGLNCY CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknow-
ledged by each and every person having an interest in the hereinafter described
property and territory; and,
MIEREAS said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and is not more than one-half mile in width; and,
WHEREAS, said petition wa-s presented to the City Council on the 2nd
day of November, 1965, such date being not less than five nor more than thirty
days from the date hereof; and,
lYlIMEAS, after hearing such petition and arguments for and against
same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory
to the City of Georgetown, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Georgetowh, Texas, that the following described property, to -wit:
Parcel No. 1.
BEGINNING at a point in the east right of way of existing U.S. Highway
81, opposite Interstate Highway 35, Survey Station 708-50.8; and,
TIIL,'NCE N 16*55' E, along said existing east right of way, a distance
of 950.8 feet to a point of intersection with the east right of way of Inter-
state highway 35; and,
TH NCE N 21* 51' E, along said east right of way, a distance of
480 feet; and,
9 THENCE N 26* 45' E, along; said east right of way, a distance of 938
feet; and,
THENICE N 66* 34' W, along a line that passes through Interstate
Highway 35, Survey Station 685--00, for a distance of 441 feet to a point in the
:vest right of way of Interstate 35. This line being the new \'orth City Limits
of Georgetown, Texas; and,
TIILNCE southwesterly along said west right of way which is on a curve
having a radius of 11,409.2 feet for a distance of 979.2 feet to a point which
is a P.C.C.; and,
THENCE southwesterly along said west right of way which is on a curve
having a radius of 1095.9 feet for a distance of 441.1 feet to a point which is a
P.R.C.; and,
THENCE S 63* 15' E, along a line that passes through Interstate High-
way 35, Survey Station 708--50.8, for a distance of 689.E feet to a point being
in the existing east right of way of. U.S, highway 81, which is the point of be-
ginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory
within the City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall
hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said city, and the
said land, and the present and frture inhabitants thereof, shall hereafter be
entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of George-
town, T xas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of this City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of
Williamson County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.

The importance of this ordinance creates an emergency and An impera—
tive public necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three
separate meetings be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, and the
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all of the members of the City Council
this 8th day of November, 1965.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING OFFEI1 OF TEXAS HIGHWAY COMMISSION
AS CONTAINED IN TEXAS HIGHWAY COMMISSION MINUTE ORDER NO.
46565.
MIEREAS, by Texas Highway Commission Order No. 56565, reference
to said :Minute Order being hereby made for all purposes, and a copy of same
being attached to this Ordinance and made a part hereof as if copied herein
at length, the Texas Highway Commission of the State of Texas offered to
construct certain lighting facilities on I.H. 35 within the'City Limits
of Geor-etown, conditioned upon by the paymnent by said City for the electrical
energy to operate said fixtures and the cost of maintenance to said facilities;
AND 1MEREAS, the City- Council of Georgetown, Texas, deems it
wise, expediert and to the 'lest interest of said City to accept said offer
os contained in said Minute Order No. 56565:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said offer contained in said
Minute Order No 56565 is hereby accepted.
