HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 10.04.1965 - Motorcycle Regulations464 F� W, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS REGULATING THE RIDING OF MOTORCYCLES AND TAOTOR SCOOTERS VIITHIN SAID CITY -AND PROHIBITING CARRY- ING MORE PERSONS ON A MOTORCYCLE OR MOTOR SCOOTER THAN S_41VE IS EQUIPPED TO CARRY: A person operating a motorcycle or motor scooter shall not ride of-r than upon or astride the permanent regular seat attached thereto, nor carry any other person upon such motorcycle or motor scooter than upon a firmly attached and regular seat thereon; nor shall any person ride upon a motorcycle or motor scooter other than as above mentioned. No motorcycle or motor, scooter shall be used to carry more persons at one time than the number for which it is designed and equipped. Any violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by fine of not less than $1.00 nor more than $200.00. The provisions of this Ordinance are severable so that any portion hereof, which might be deemed to be void as a matter of law, shall not affect the validity of any other portion hereof.
