ANNEXATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS
TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO
ALL INHABITANTS, PRESENT AND FUTURE, OF SAID PROPERTY
ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF ALL OTHER CITIZENS
AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
OF SAID CITY AND CONTAINING EXERGENCY CLAUSE:
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledg-
ed by each and every person having an interest in the hereinafter described
property and territory; and,
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City
of Georgetown, Texas, and is not more than one-half mile in width; and,
W=�S, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 29th
day of September, 1965, such date being not less than five nor more than
thirty days from the date hereof; and,
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and arguments for and against
same the City Council has voted to grant such petiion and to annex said

territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, that the following described property, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a poir_t where the present North City Limits line of
Georgetown, Texas intersects the reference line of Interstate Highway
35 at Survey Station 784+17; and,
THENCE N 87* 15' E a distance of 171 feet to a point in the east
right of way line of INterstate Highway 35; and,
THENCE N 26* 44.61 E, along said right of way line for a distance of
2430:feet; and,
THENCE S 63* 15.4' 111, along a line that passes through Interstate
Highway 35, Survey Station 759+00 for a distance of 330 feet to a
point being in the west right of way of Interstate Highway 35; and,
THENCE S 29* 36.4t E. along said west right of way line for a distance
of 400.5 feet; and,
THENCE S 26* A4.6' W, along said west right of way line, a distance of
2230.2 feet to the intersection with the present North City Limits
line of Georgetown, Texas; and,
THENCE N 87* 151 E, along said city limits line, a distance of 230
feet to the intersection of the reference line of Interstate Highway
35 at Survey Station 784+17, which is the point of beginning.
Parcel No. 2
BEGINNING at point where the present city limits line of Georgetown,
Texas intersects the reference line of Interstate Highway 35 at Survey Station
826+44.5; and,
THENCE S 26*20.31 E, along said city limit line, a distance of 319 feet
to a point of intersection with the east right of way of Interstate Highway 35;
and,
THENCE S 43* 46.6' W, along said east right of way line, a distance of 675.9
feet to a point which is the P. C. of a curve; and,
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along the east right of way line which
is on a curve having a radius of 5429.6 feet for a distance of 1586 feet; and,
THENCE N 62* 56, W, along a line that passes through Interstate Highway
35, Survey Station 851+00 for a distance of 600 feet to a point being in the west
right of way of Interstate Highway 35: and,
THENCE In a northeasterly direction along said west right of way line
which is on a curve having a radius of 6029.6 feet for a distance of 1763
feet; and,
THENCE N 43* 46.6' E along said west right of way for a distance of
974.4 feet to a point of intersection with the present City Limits line of
Georgetown, Texas; and,
THENCE S 13* 52.51 E, along said City Limits line for a distance of
355.1 feet to the intersection with the reference line of Interstate
Highway 35 at Survey Station 826+44.5 which is the point of beginning.
Parcel No. 3
BEGINNING at a point in the center of the South San Gabriel River on
the west right of way of Interstate Highway 35, opposite Survey Station
906+34.1; and,
THENCE N 15* 04.6' W, along said west right of way line for a distance
of 613.4 feet to a point which is the P.T. of a curve; and,
THENCE in a northwesterly direction along said west right of way being
on a curve having a radius of 4119.7 feet for a distance of 1208.7 feet; and,
THENCE N 01* 04.7 E, along said west .right of way line, a distance of
698.4 feet; and,
THENCE N 45* 16.1' W, along said west right of way for a distance of 200
feet to a point being on the centerline of State Highway 29; and,
THENCE along the centerline of State Highway 29, N 87* 491 E, for a distance
of 1077 feet; and,
THENCE S 02* 11' E, for a distance of 50 feet to a point in the south
right of way of State Highway 29; and,
THENCE S 87* 491 W, along said south right of way for a distance of 150
feet to a point that intersects the east right of way of Interstate Highway
35 and,
THENCE S 35 44.51 W, along said east right of way for a distance of 168.3
feet to a point which is the P.C. of a curve; and,
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along said east right of war being
on a curve having a radius of 3519.7 feet for a distance of 1750.4 feet to a
point which is the P.T. of said curve; and,
'ONCE S 15 04.61 E, along said east right of way for a distance of
597.0 feet to a point being in the center of South San Gabriel River; and,
THENCE in a westerly direction along the meanders of the South San
Gabriel River for a distance of approximately 630 feet to the intersection
with the west right of way line of Interstate Highway 35, this being the point
of beginning.
Parcel No. 4
BEGINNING at a. -point in the west right of way of Interstate Highway 35
and in the north right of way of R.M. Highway 2243; and.
THENCE N 68*521 E, along said north right of way line of R.M. Highway
2243, which crosses the Reference Line of Interstate Highway 35, for a dis-
tance of 954.4 feet; and,
THENCE S 21*081 E, for a distance of 80 feet to a point in the south
right of way of R. M. Highway 2243 and the east right of way of Interstate
Highway 35; and,
THENCE S 15* 04.6' E, along the east right of way of Interstate Highway
35 for a distance of 634.6 feet; and,
THENCE S 15*04.61 E, along the east right of way of Interstate Highway
35 for a distance of 634.6 feet; and,
THENCE S 13*321 W, along said east right of way line for a distance of
626.5 feet; and,
THENCE S 15*04.6 E, along said east right of way line for a distance
of 1730 feet; and,
THENCE S 74*55.4' W,along a line that passes through Interstate Highway
35, Survey Station 953+00, for a distance of 500 feet to a point in the west
right of way of Interstate Highway 35; and,
THENCE N 15*04.6' W, along said west right of way line, a distance of
1800 feet; and,
THENCE N 23*27.7' W, along said west right of way, a distance of 1064.8
feet to a point being on the centerline of R. X. Highway 2243; and,
THENCE N 08*48.71 W, along said west right of way line for a distance
of 40 feet to a point being in the north right of way of R. I9. Highway 2243
which is the point of beginning.
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas
be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory

within the City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall
hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said city, and
said land, and the present and future inhabitants thereof, shall hereafter
be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of the City
of Georgetown, TExas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of
said City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of
Williamson County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
The importance of this ordinance creates an emergency and an impera-
tive public necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at
three separate meetings be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
and the ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
adoption.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all of the members of the City
Council this the 4th day of October, 1965.
