HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 10.04.1965 - Firearms RegulationsAli ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, PROHIBITING THE FIRING AND DISCHARGING OF ANY GUN, PISTOL, SHOTGUN, RIFLE OR OTHER FIREARM OF ANY DESCRIPTION, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, EXCEPT AS MAY BE PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF THIS STATE OR OF THE UNITED STATES: It shall be unlawful for any person in the City of Georgetown, Texas, to fire off or discharge any gun, pistol, shotgiin, rifle or other firearm of any description, within the corporate limits of Georgetown, except as may be permitted by the laws of this State or of the United States. The provisions of this section shall not apply to discharging firearms in a shooting gallery or gunsmithls establishment. Any violation of this Ordinance shall be punishable by fine not less than $1.00 nor more than $200.00. The provisions of this Ordinance are severable so that any portion thereof, which might be deemed to be void as a matter of law, shall not affect the validity of any other portion hereof.
