AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND
EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIlIIITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO
INCLUDE SAID HEREIINTAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL
FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF' THE RIGHTS
AND _PR.IVILEGES OF' OTTIER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID
FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF TIIE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
01' THE SAID CITY.
WIIEItEAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and
acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest in
the following described territory, to -wit:
A strip of land 200 feet in width West of and adjacent to the
Westerly right of way line'for Interstate Highway 35 described as follows:
BEGINNING AT THE intersection of the North line of the present
City Limits of the City of Georgetown with the Westerly right-
of-way line of Interstate Highway 35 which point is N 60* 59'
West 350 feet from the Northwest corner of the Sexton Addition,
a subdivision within the City of Georgetown, Williamson County
Texas;
THENCE Northeasterly with the Westerly right of way line of
said Interstate 35 a distance of 2994.6 feet, more or less,
to the North property line of the Jay Wolf property which
Point is opposite engineers station 743�19.2;
THENCE N 88* 11' West with the North property line of the
Jay Wolf tract a sufficient distance to be exactly 200 feet
at right angles to the Westerly right of way line of said
Interstate 35;
THENCE Southwesterly parallel with and exactly 200 feet
from the Westerly right of way line of said Interstate
35 a distance of 2980 feet, more or less, to the point of
intersection with the present North City limits of the
City of Georgetown;
THENCE South 53* 46' East with said City Limits line to
the place of beginning, being partly in the Antonio Flores
Survey, Abstract No. 235, and partly in the Nicholas Porter
Survey, Abstract No. 497, containing 13.72 acres, more or
less.
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the
City of Georgetown, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in
width, and
WHEId AS, said petition was presented to the City Council on
the llth day of _ December w , 19 67 such date being not less
than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof, and
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for
and against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition
and to annex said territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas;
NOW THE1tEFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Georgetown, Texas:
That the foregoing described property be and the same is
hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas,
and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, be and the
same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the
city limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall hereafter
be included within the territorial limits of said city, and said land and
the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights

and privileges of other citizens of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and
shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of
Georgetown, Texas, a.certified copy of this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council,
this 8th day of January, 1968.

LEASE AGREE1,1ENT
That the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, hereinafter
called "Lessor", and J. IV. Buchanan, J. C. Tidwell and Tom Petrosky, Trustees,
and their successors in office of Camp #37, "Williamson County, Texas, `Voodmen
of the World Life Insurance Society, hereinafter called "Lessee", have and
do hereby enter into the agreement of lease as follows:

For and in consideration of the promises, covenants and conditions
hereinafter set forth, Lessor does hereby lease, demise and let unto Lessee
all that certain tract and parcel of land described as follows:
BEING 0.94 acres of the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497 in R'illiam-
son County, Texas, surveyed on the ground by IV. F. Forest in January of
1968, and described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a power pole in the East line of the old Granger Hoad
College Street extended), S 41* 10' IV 518 feet from the SIV corner of
a tract conveyed by the City of Georgetown To Don Scarbrough and upon
which is erected the KGTN transmitter. This point also stands S 13*
20' 1V 202 feet, from the S corner of the City's brick pumping station
house on the bangs of the San Gabriel '.giver;
TIMNCE S 53* E 205 feet to a fence corner post;
THENCE S 55* 15' 1V 391 feet with a fence to a fence corner post in
the East line of the Old Granger Road;
THENCE N 20* 15' E 210 feet to a 20 inch forked Mesquite tree;
THL''vTCE N 29* 55' E 170 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

The term of this lease shall be for twenty (20) years commencing January
1, 1968, and ending December 31, 1987. The consideration for this lease, in
addition to the covenants and agreements herein appearing shall be $1.00 per
year. It is further agreed that Lessee shall have an option to renew this
lease at its termination for an additional twenty (20) years.

It is further agreed that Lessee shall have the right to remove the
building to be placed on the property and that in the event of the termination of
this lease and a sale of the building by Lessee then Lessor shall have the first
right of refusal to purchase said building. Upon the termination of this lease
if Lessee desires to sell the building- located on Lessor's property it is hereby
agreed that before any such sale shall take place Lessee shall first notify
Lessor of the pending sale and of the terms and Lessor shall have thirty (30)
days within which time to notify Lessee -of its intention to purchase said building
M under the same terms and conditions. After the lapse of the said thirty day
period of time Lessee shall be free to sell the building to anyone it so desires.

It is understood and agreed that the property hereby leased is a part of
the property held by the City for'potential park purposes and in the event
the San Gabriel Park Expansion Program extends to take in this property the
Lessor may terminate this lease by giving Lessee thirty (30) days notice.
However, Lessee shall have a reasonable time to remove any and all buildings
and structures from the premises.
5.
It is further agreed that Lessee shall take good care of the property
and shall, at Lessee's own expense and cost, keep said premises in good repair.

Lessee further agrees not to assign this agreement or urderlet the property
on any basis whatsoever without the written consent of Lessor.

LEASE AGIthIMENT
That the City of Georgetown, 'Williamson County, Texas, hereinafter
called "Lessor", and the Georgetown Optimists, sponsors of Boy Scouts of
America, Local Troop No. 153, of '.!'illia.mson County, Texas, hereinafter called
"Lessee", and do hereby enter into the agreement of lease as follows:

For and in consideration of the promises, covenants and conditions
hereinafter set forth, Lessor does hereby lease, demise and let unto
Lessee all that certain tract and parcel of land described as follows:
BEING a tract measuring 49 feet 7 inches by 50 feet located about
225 feet Wouthwest of the Community Center Building in San Gabriel Park,
City of Georgetown, ':Williamson County, Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING for reference at the Southwest corner of the foundation
of the Park CaretaRer's residence which point if approximately
175 feet westerly from the Community Center Building;
THLNCE Southerly along a projection of the West fall of the foun-
dation of said residence building a distance of 141 feet 10 i.ncbes
for the place of beginning of this tract;
TH]FICE Easterly at right angles to the drive or street 49 feet
7 inches to the West side of a row of 4 inch wooden hosts marking
the edge of the street or drive;
THF,NCE Southerly along the West side of said row of posts 50 feet
to a point;
THENCE Westerly and at right angles to the last line above 49
,feet 7 inches to a point;
T1112KCE Northerly parallel with the street or drive 50 feet to the
place of beginning.
