AN AMENDMENT OT THE ZONING ORDINANCE
AN AMENDMENT TO T.HE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED
BY THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN ON OCTOBER 13,
1969; AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP: AMENDING SAID ZONING
011DINANCE AND SAID DISTRICT MAP BY CHANGING THE HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED PROPERTY LOCATED IN BLOCK 0, MORROW ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FROM R-S, SINGLE DWELLING, TO R-M,
MULTIPLE DWELLING, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning District Map on the following described
real estate:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the City of Georgetown, -Williamson County, Texas, described as followsd
BEGINNING at the S.W. conner of Block E, Morrow Addittion, City of
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, for the beginning point hereof;
THENCE in an Easterly direction and along the South line of said Block
E a distance of approximately 176 feet no the S.W. corner of a track
of land described in a deed from Herschel Elroy Richardson, et al, to
J. Herter Davis, et ux, dated September 10, 1945, recorded in Volume
329, Page 425, Deed Records of Williamson Country, Texas, and for the

S. E. corner Hereof;
THENCE in a N,,)rtherly direction and along the West line of said Richardson -
to Davis tract and continuing along the West line of a tract of land
described in a deed fwom Rosa Richardson, et al, to E. E. Brogren,
dated March 27, 1939, recorded in Volume 241, Page 286, Deed records of
Williamson Country, Texas, for a total distance of approximately 112
feet to the N. W. corner of said Richardson-to-Brogren tract for the N. E.
corner herAlf;
THENCE in a Westerly direction and parallel to the Not-th and South line
of said Block E. of Morrow Addition to a joint in the West line of siid
Block E for the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE in a Southerly direction and along the West line ofsaid Block E
a distance of approximately 1111 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and being
the same property conveyed by Myttle Farris to Camilla Emerson Durren-
berger, by deed dated 3/13/69, recorded in Vol. 515, Page 637, Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in Zoning ordinance
the the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report;and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved .the changing
of said Zoning Ordinance on the above -described property from R-S, Single Dwelling,
to R-M. Multiple Dwelling, after said Commission met and considered such matter
on December 16, 1969; and
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing regarding such amendment to the Zoning
Ordinance fefore the City Planning and Zoning Commission was given by publishing
the same in the Williamson County Sun, a newspaper given ofggneral circulation in
the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such
hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the date of such
publication; and
WHEREAS, no protest has been entered against the proposed change; and
WHEREAS, written notices of the proposed change and of the public hearing
before the City Planning and Zoning Commission were given to all of the owners of
all real property lying within 200 feet of the abovedescribed property as required
by law, and no protest has been filed by any of said property owners:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
that the Zoning Ordinance and District Map of the City of Georgetown be amended so
that the property described above ashall be, and the same is hereby, changed from
R-S, Single Dwelling, to R-M, Multiple Dwelling.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation
of public business, it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure which shall
be and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
READ, PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote, this the 12th day of January, 1970.
