AN AMENDMENT TO THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN ON OCTOBERI3,
1969; AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP; AMENDING SAID
ZONING ORDINANCE AND SAID DISTRICT MAP BY CHANGING THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY LOCATED IN BLOCKS 4,6, and 7
OF THE GABRIEL HEIGHTS ADDITION TO1HE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS,,FROM R-S, SINGLE DWELLING, TO R-M, MULTIPLE
DWELLING, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance fw4m the Zoning District Map on the following
described real estate;
All those certain lots, tracts or parcels of land lying and being sit-
uated in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, described
follows, to -wit: _
All of the following Lots situated in the Gabriel Heights Addition to
The City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, as shown upon the
official recorded map or plat thereof on file in Vol. 4, Page 25 of the
Plat records of said Williamson County;
In Block 4; Lots numbered 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.
In Block 6; Lots numbered 12, 13, 14, and 15.
In Block 7; Northwest part of Lots 1 and 3 in Grady Watkins name. -
WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the city Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation
and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing
of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from,R-S, Single
Dwelling, to R-M, Multiple Dwelling, after said Commission met and considered
such matter on December 16, 1969; and
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearing regarding such amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance before the City Planning and Zoning Commission was given by
publishing the same in the Williamson County Sun, a newspaper of general circul-
ation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and
place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the
date of such publication; and
WHEREAS, no protest has been entered against the proposed change; and
WHEREAS, written notice of the proposed change and of the public hearing
before the City Planning and Zoning Commission were given to all of the owners
of all real property lying within 200 feet of the above described property as
required by law, and no protest has been filed byany of said property owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGE-
TOWN that the Zoning Ordinance and the District Map of the City of Georgetown
be amended so that the property described above shall be, and the same is
hereby, changed from R-S, Single Dwelling, to R-M, Multiple Dwelling.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preser-
vation of public business, it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
which shall be and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
READ, PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote, this the 19th day of January,
A. D. 1970.
