CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON TIIE+; 12TII DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968,
AM2NDING THE ZONING DISTRICT HAP, AND MMCING THIS t] MN- DI.MNT A PART
OF THE IMAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHAINGE ALL OF LOTS 3 and 4
AND A PAIN OF LOTS NOS. 2, 5, 6, and 7 IN BLOCK 44, OF THE REVISED
MAP OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS FROM R. S. SINGLE; FAMILY DIS-
TRICT TO C-_ 2-A, COMMERCIAL, FIRST HEIGHT DISTRICT, AS HEEEINAFTER
SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE CITY OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
I'iIIER1AS, an application has been made to City Council for the purpose of chang-
ing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate;
All of Lots Nos. 3 and 4, and a part of Lots Nos. 2, 5, 6, and 7, in Block
No. 44 as shown on the revised map of the City of Georgetown, dated 1881, recorded
in Vol. 26, Page 321, Deed Records of Z^iilliamson County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the S E corner of said Lot No. 4 and at the S E corner of said
Block No. 44;
THENCE North with the East lines of Lots 4, 3, and 2 and with the East line of
said Block No. 44, 145.2 feet, to a corner post of an old fence at the S E corner
of a tract of land conveyed by C. S. Griffith to James Clarkson, by deed dated
August 29, 1946, recorded in Vol. 341, Page 5, Deed records, Williamson County,
Texas; set an iron pin.
TIENCE I'Vest 120 feet with an old fence line such fence line running about

one foot,North of a cyclone fence located on the property being hereby conveyed
and with the South line of said Clarkson Lot to an old fence corner post at the
S V6 corner of said Clarkson Lot; set an iron pin.
THME CE South, with said old fence line the cyclone fence running about
parallel with the old fence line and about 1 foot distance East thereof),
approximately 16 feet to an old fence corner post; set an iron pin.
T-IMME West, with said old fence line, 60 feet to an old fence corner post
the cyclone fence runs parallel with said old fence line and about 1 foot South
thereof for a part of this 60 foot distance; set an iron pin.
THLN CE South 129.2 feet, with the old fence line, passing the N. E corner of
a tract of land conveyed by Ed Henderson, et ux, to C. A. Wilcox, et al, by deed
dated May 16, 1906, recorded in Vol. 117, Page 471, heed Records of V1rilliamson
County, Texas, which is now owned by Martha Tanksley, and continue with said
old fence line and with the East line of the 'Martha Tanksley lot to the S t
corner of the said Martha Tanksley lot, for the S Vil corner hereof; set an iron pin.
THIME East, with the South lines of Lots 5 and 4 and the South line of
said Block No. 44, 180 feet to the place of beginnning, and being a part of the
property conveyed by lien Smith to Griffith Lumber Co, by deed dated January 4,
I894, recorded in Vol. 71, Page 431, Heed Records, V'+illiamson County, Texas, and
a part of the property conveyed by Matilda Smith to C. S. Griffith, by deed
dated 1911, recorded in V;ol,141, Page.315, Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas, and a part of the property conveyed by
Sampson Connell, Sheriff to Claude S. Griffith, by Sheriff's Deed dated May 7,
1909, recorded in Vol. 133, Page 150, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the City
Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing
of said Zoning Ordinance on the hereinabove described property from "16, Single
Family District" to "C-2-A Commercial First Height District", which said meeting
was held on the 4th day of August, 1970; and
WI1Eif:AS the City Planning and Zoning Commission before approving said
proposed change in said zoning ordinance, gave notice of a public hearing on
said proposed change by publishing the same one time in the Williamson County
Sun, weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated
the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen
(15) days from the 1st day of such publication; and
the City Planning and 'Zoning Commission approved the change afore-
said in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval being given by said commission on
August 4, 1970; and
WHERLAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of property within
200 feet of the above described property as required by law;
N01�'v, THE .LFORE, 13L IT ELSOML by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
that the Zoning Ordinance, and the 'Zoning map of the City of Georgetown, be amend-
ed so that the property described above, shall be and the same is hereby removed
from "RS, Single Family District" to "C-2-A Commercial First height District".
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preser-
vation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a
municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall
have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
Read, Passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this the loth day of August, 1970.
