ANNEXING ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND
EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE
SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS,
AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABIT-
ANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF
OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL
OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and,acknowledged
by each and every person or corporation havein an interest in the following des-
cribed property, to -wit;
BEING 38.54 acres of land lying South of the South City Limits of the City
of Georgetown, Texas, and being out of the John Powell Survey, Abstract No.
491 and the Ephraim Evans Survey, Abstract No. 212, in Williamson County,
Texas;
BEGINNING at a point on the West Right -of -Way line of Interstate Highway
No. 35 at a point 200 feet N 850 25' 52" W from Engineers Station 1057+00
on the Reference Line of said Highway and being on the South City Limits
of the City of Georgetown, Texas;
THENCE S 850 25' 52" E, with the South City Limits of Georgetown at 200
feet pass through said Engineers Station 1057+00, a total distance of 400
feet;
THENCE 1308.48 feet with the East right-of-way line of said highway along
the arc of a curve to the left whose radius is 11,259.158 feet and whose
central angle is 60 39' 31" to a point which is 200 feet left of Engineers
Station 1070+31.74;
THENCE S 20 05.4' E a distance of 447.66 feet to the beginning of curve to
the left;
THENCE 831.2 feet along the arc of a curve whose radius is 1,859.9 feet and
whose central angle is 250 36' 18";
THENCE S 27o 41' 42" E 468.3 feet to a point;
THENCE S 140 23' 24" E 34.29 feet;
THENCE S 160 24' 48" W 63.32 feet to a point 571.89 feet N 870 54' 36" E
of Engineers Reference Line Sta 1088+00;
THENCE S 870 54' 36" W, at 456.14 feet pass the East End of the Rabbit
Hill Grade Separation Bridge in the center of said bridge, at 571.89 feet
pass through Engineers Reference Line Station 1088+00, at 687.64 feet pass
the West end of the said Rabbit Hill Grade Separation Bridge, continuing in all
1171.92 feet to a point on the West right-of-way line of Interstate Highway
No. 35;
THENCE with the said West right-of-way line as follows: northeasterly, along
the arc of a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 766.2 feet and
a long -chord of 502.27 feet which bears N 170 02' 36" E, 511.70 feet to the
end of said curve to the right and the beginning of a curve to the left;
THENCE 731.8 feet along the arc of a curve whose central angle is 380 16'
to a point which is 200' right of Engineers Station 1076+46.9 on the said
Reference Line of Interstate Highway No. 35;
THENCE N 20 05' 24" W 615.16 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right;
THENCE 1,354.97 feet along the are of a curve whose radius is 11,659.158
feet and whose central angle is 60 39' 31" to the place of beginning.
V,'"itLAs, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of
Geor_eto;vn. Texas, and is not more than one-half (1) mile in width, and
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 7th day
of June, 1971, such date being not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from
the date hereof, and
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the
same the City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territ-
ory to the City of Georgetown, Texas;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by,the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas;
That the foregoing described property be and the same is hereby annexed to
the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and that the boundary limits
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include
the above described territory within the city limits of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial limits
of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter
be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Georgetown,
Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council the 7th
day of June, 1971, and passed by affirmative vote of all members of the City Council
on the 2nd reading this 14th day of June, 1971.

WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, and the City of
Georgetown of Williamson County, Texas, have recently annexed certain property
lying and being situated between the two towns; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient and to the beat interest of both cities for
an agreement to be reached pertaining to the matter of the boundary line between
said cities and related matters;
THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That -for and in consideration of
the mutual promises and covenants herein appearing said Cities do hereby agree
as follows:
n 1.
The common boundary line between the City of Round Rock and the City of
Georgetown, north of Round Rock and south of Georgetown, shall be aline crossing
Interstate 35 directly under the Rabbit Hill overpass and in the center thereof.

2.
Notwithstanding the extra territorial jurisdictional rights of each of
said cities it is hereby agreed that:
2.1 The City of Georgetown shall not annex the territory lying west of
Interstate Highway 35 and south of the boundary line described below and the
City of Round Rock shall not annex the territory lying west of Interstate High-
way 35 and North of said line, described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Rabbit Hill Overpass
intersects the West right-of-way line of Iii 35;
THENCE following the West right-of-way line of said Ili 35 in a northerly
direction 1023.3 feet along the arc of a curve to the right;
THENCE N 340 36' E 60.4 feet to a point where the Raymond Pearson north
boundary line intersects the west right-of-way line of Ili 35;
THENCE S 870 09' W 1073.5 feet along Pearsons North boundary line to a
point on the West right-of-way line of Georgetown Railroad; said point being
the N E corner of a tract of 11.61 acres conveyed by Pearson to Texas
Crushed Stone Company;
THENCE S 60 14' W 580.3 feet along the West right-of-way line of the George-
town Rainroad to a point on or near the South line of the John Powell
Survey; and being the S E corner of the 11.61 acre tract;
THENCE S 710 W along the South line of the John Powell Survey to the West
boundary line of the Raymond Pearson tract.
2.'l The City of Round Rock shall not annex the territory lying east of said
Interstate Highway 35 and north of the line described below and the City of
Georgetown shall not annex the territory lying East of said interstate Highway
35 and South of said line described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the East right-of-way of Interstate Highway 35
at a point where the aforesaid common City Limits line would intersect said
right-of-way if extended to that point;
THENCE in a southerly direction along said East right-of-way of said highway
to a point where the dividing line of Georgetown Independent School District
and Bound Rock Independent School District line intersects said Easbright-
of-way line;
THENCE in an easterly direction along said school district dividing line
to point that is one mile from said East rigllt-of-way of Intestate Highway 35.
