AYMIDl'fENT TO THE Z011ING ORDIITANCE OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETO'+dN
An amendment to- the ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
amending; the Zoning Ordinance which went into effect on September 21,
1961, amending the Zoning District T:ap and making tlis amendment a part
of the map of the original ordinance; to change the hereinafter des-
cribed property located at Fast 2nd Street from "R-1", One -Family Dwelling
District to "R-2", nuplex and Apartment District as hereinafter set forth.
Be it ordained bj-- the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas;
V:TEFEAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the
purpose of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real
estate;
Ill that certain tract or parcel of land lying and bein.`; situated
in the City of Georgetown,-'exas, described as follows:
BEING part of lots Nos.l, 2 and 3 in Block ID!o. 1 of the Iunson addition
of the City of Georgetown, Ailliai-ason County, Texas; _

BEGINNING at the SE corner of Lot 14o. 1;
T'I-T'yCE 'nest with the mouth lines of said Lots, 1, 2 and 3, a distance
of 127 feet;
WHENCE North and parallel with the E line of said Tlock, 110 feet;
THENCE East and parallel with the South line of said Block, 127 feet;
THENCE South with the East line of said -'look.., 110 feet to the PLr_CE
OF BEGIT;TT ID,G.
AND 'rHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the pr'opo&ed change in the
'onin„ Ordinance to the .:, ty Planning Co--nnission for its recommendation and
report; and
the City Planning ComTnission has approlred the chanrinE_ of said
Zoning Ordinance con the above described property from "-1", a One- gamily
Dwelling District to "R-2", Duplex and Apartment District, which said meeting
was held on December 23, 1;63,; and
'�ITEREAS, the City Council before adopting; this amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance gave notice of such hearint, by publishin_; the same three
times in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of
Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing
and which time was not earlier than 15 days from the first day of such publication;
and

V4HEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the than€;e afore-
said in the Zoning Ordinance; and no protest was entered against the
proposed change; and
VuHEREAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of lots
within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law, and no
protest having been filed by any of the property owners within 200 feet of
said property;
NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Gorging Map of the City of
-Georgetown be amended so that the property described above shall be and the
same is aereby removed form "R-l" a One -family Dwelling District to a "R-2",
Duplex and Apartment District.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate
preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation
of the municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which
shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
Read, passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this the loth day of
February, 1964.
