ANNEXATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON, COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL INHABITANTS,
PRESENT AND FUTURE, OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND DRIVILEGES OF
OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
OF SAID CITY: AND CONTAINING EMERGENCY CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation lhas been duly signed and acknowledged by
,each and every person or corporation having an interest in the hereinafter des-
cribed property and territory; and,
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Georgetow
Texas, and is not mare than oen half milelin width; and,
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 28th day of
September , 1964, such date being not less than five nor more than 30 days form
the date hereof, and,
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and agguments for and against same the
City Council has voted to grant such petition and to annex said territory to the
City of Georgetown, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE LIT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetow n
Texas:
THTT THE FOLLOWING PROPERTY hereinafter described, to wit:
Field notes of a tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the C.
Stubblefiedd Survey, Abstract No. 558, Willaamson County, Texas, also being part
of the land conveyed to the Georgetown Developemtn Company by deed recorded in
Volune 462, Page 385, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a concrete monument marking the intersection of the West right
of way line of U. S. Interstate Highway No. 35, with the north right of way line

of Texas Ranch to Market Road No. 2243, from this concrete monument the south- L
west corner of the before mentioned C. Stubblefield Survey, as marked on th-e
ground by a fence corner, is located S 45 deg 02' 13" W 4397.27 feet;
THENCE N 69 deg 45' 41" E along said north right of way line of Texas Ranch
to Market Road No. 2243 for a distance of 803.34 feet to a concrete monument
marking the east right of way line of said U. S. Interstae Highwat No. 35;
THENCE N 68 deg 40' 35" E continue along sak line i of Ranch to Market Road
No-. 2243 for a distance of 926.29 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE N 09 deg 55' 27" E along a fence lien for a distance of 347.79 feet
to a fence corner;
THENCE N 88 deg 29' 45" E for a distance of 35.05 feet to a corner, fence;
THENCE N 10 deg 06' E along a fence line for a distance of 763.21 feet to
an iron pipe for corner, this being the most easterly corner of the tract of land
described in sia d Volume 462, Page 385, of the Deed Records of Willaimson County,
Texas; -
THENCE S 88 deg 20' 25" W for a distance of 753.02 feet to a fence corner
this being a common corner with the southwest corner of Carver Park;
.0 THENCE N 22 deg 27' 38" W along the fence line common with said Carver Park
for a distance of 806.37 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE N 38 deg 55' 38" W for a distance=of 28.45 feet to a frence corner;
THCNE N 55 deg 34' 45" W for a distance of 159.18 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE S 46 deg 19' 26" W for a distance of 34.29 feet to an elm tree 8 inches
in diameter for corner;
THENCE S 27 deg 30' 18" W for a distance of 31.35 feet to a fence corner on
the gi high bluff of lthe South Fork of the San Gabriel River;
THENCE N 76 deg. 29' 35" W for a distance of 66.41 feet;
THENCE N 44 deg 45'15" W for a distance of 143.5 feet to a rock merked in the
center of said River;
THENCE up the center of the South Fork of the San Ga riel River with its
meanders as follows;
S 18 deg 27113" W 126.03 feet
S 04 deg 25'28" W 180.31 feet
S 25 deg 07'33" W 474.35 feet
S 58 deg 01'20" W 197.45 feet
S 86 deg 04'44" W 321.51 feet
N 69 deg 11'41" W 465.5 feet to a rock marked in the center
of said River for corner, this "being a common corner with the Hy Blair tract des-
cribed in Volume 10, Page 506 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE S 54 deg 42'13" W for a distance of 391.97 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE S 25 deg 07' W for a distance of 132.85 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE S 55 deg 541,30" W for a distance of 26.12 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE N 87 deg 37'42" W for a distance of 780.59 feet;
THENCE N 83 deg 28' 42" W for a distance of 398.24 feet;
THENCE S 10 deg 53'18" W for a distance of 596.99 feet to the beginnink of a
curve to the left having a radius of 2566.24 feet and a central angle of 9 deg 00';
THENCE in a s6utherly direction along said curve to the lift for an arc length
of 463.1 feet to end of aaid curve;
THENCE S 01 deg 57'18" W for a distance of 310.42 feet;
THENCE S 86 deg 38'42" E for a distance of 696.5 feet;
THENCE N 84 deg 26'44" E for a distance of 281.94 feet;
THENCE N 69 deg 21'59" E for a distance of 566.0 feet;
THENCE S 20 deg 38' 01" E for a distance of 744.0 feet;
THENCE S 19 deg 41'48" W for a distance of 143.63 feet and corner in the north
right of way line of Texas Ranch to Market Road No. 2243;
THENCE in an easterly direction alon said north right of way line of Ranch to
Market Road No. 2243, a same being a curve to the right having a radius of 1957.61
feet and a central angle of 13 deg 46'02" for Ian arc length of 285.13 feet to the
end of said curve;

THENCE N 68 deg 45'41" E continue along said Road right of way line for a
distance of 537.32 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County,
Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, be and
the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the
City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the same shall hereafter be incl-
uded within the territorial limits of aid City and siad land, and the present
and future hnhabitants thereof, shall hereafter be entitled to all the rights and
privileges of tohre citizens of the City of Georgetown, Texas and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of williamson
County, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance.
The importance of thsi ordinance creats an emergency and an imperative public
necissity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three several meetings
be suspended, and this rule is hereby sus ended, and the ordinace shall take effect
and be in force from and after its adoption.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all of the members of the City Council this
the day of A.D. , 1964..
