ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF T A9 FIXINW; THE
COMPEMATION OF THE MAYOR AND AID : - '- TO BE ELECTED
AT THE YEIT REGULAR CITY ELECTION, AND DECLAIRING AN
EERGANCY.
RE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEOR4?ETOWN TEXAS;
That the compensation to be received by the mayor and
Aldermen of the said City, to be elected at the next general City
Gledtion, shall be as follows:
That the Mayor of this City, for his services as such,
shall receive a salary of Four Hundred and .Eighty Dollars (480,00)
per year, paid in installments of Forty Dolla*s ($40.00) each month,
That each alderman shell receive as compensation for his,
services, Ten Dollars ($10.00) per month.
The fact that it is necessary to fix the opmnynsation
of the above named officer prior to their elootion creates an em-
ergnsoy and publics necessity that the rules pertaining to the
i0eading of ordinances at apperate meetings be suspended, and it is
ordered that the same be suspended and that this ordinc®s be. at
once sassed and that it take effeot form and af't*r its passage.
