The following members were present: Alder- men E. K. Fredericton, F. C. Smith, A. C. `.7oodfin and Kennie Wilcox, Jr. Other members present:- Lee C. Black, city manager; H. Nunn, attorney;A. P. Fredericson, seconded by Ald, 7oodfin, the accounts were ordered paid and reports to be filed. Some discussion 1,r^s had with representatives of the Lone Styx Gass Co. concerning the new franchise and rate ordinances which had been under consideration for sometime, after v,hich the C,-uncil decided it was ready to act. _ 'T'�TC.THr TCEC N7 Alderman Fred C. Smith made a motion that the franchise Ordinance be -read in full. Alderman ', oodfin seconded the motion, i,-hich. Mottann carried unanimously. The Ordinance was red by Qrdinance Comm:ittteema.n Fredericson. The said Ordinance containing an Emergency Clause, therefore a motion was made, by Alderi�an F. C. Smith, that the usual rules for passing ordinances be suspendedri" and, that- here2.fter the same be read by Ca:.ption and pass its second reading. The motion was seconded by Ald. 77oodfin, and passed by the following vote: Ayes, _41redericsont Smith, '�roodfin, Vilcox. Noes --none. Ordinance Read by Caption.
