The City Councill met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
George C. Hester presiding, the following officers and members 6f, -1z
the council were present: lity 11anager, Lee'Black; Aldermen; J. R.
Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, T. 71. Ho Pfman, Jr., San E, Wildoxz°i aarid
Sam E. Harris. Officials: T. H. 'Nunn ,attorney for the city; C. S.
Sanders, assessor and collector and 71. L. Cates, Secretary.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were a-pproved, on motion of
Sam E. ','Tilcox.
A Resolution was presented the Council by Ordinance Committeeman
J. R. Ch astain, with the following Caption:
"A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, authorizing the Mayor of said City to make deed to
lot described in Deed from Paul C. Howard and '!Life to said
City, of Record in Vol. 334, page 4319 Deed Records, William-
son Bounty, Texas:" (See pages 186-a, for Resolution in
full).
Alderman J. R. Chastain moved that the said Resolution be r-arid i"_
The motion was seconded by Alderman Sam E. Harris. The motion passed
unanimously.
`? The Ordinance was read in full:
On motion of Alderman Hoffman, seconded by Alderman Chastain, that
the usual rules requiring that ordinances and resolutions be read
each consecutive meeting, be suspended, that the said Ordianance be
read by Caption and passed to the second reading. The motion was passed
by the following vote: Ayes --Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman, 'Vilcox,
Harris. Noes--' one.
Ordinance Read 3y Caption:
On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman Harris, that the
Usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended and that the same be read
by Caption and passed to the third reading was passed by the following
vote. Ayes --Chastain, Hamilton, Hoffman, Tilcox, Harris. Noes --None.
Ordinance read by Caption
On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman 77ilcox that the said
ordinance be finally passed. The motion carried by the following vote:

ordered paid.

Sanders was received and filed.
