The City Council met In regular session on the above, Ta"ayor Protem
Sam E. Harris, presiding in the opening of the session, Mayor
George C. Hester presiding the latter part of the session. Those
present: City Y-anager Tee Co Mack. Aldermen: J. Thatcher Atkin, C
C. Hamilton, 7. P. Hoffman, Jr., Sam F. '7ilcox, and Sam Harris.
Officers: A. P. pickle, Iarshall; C. S. Sanders, assessor=collactor;

On motion of -17. p. Hoffman, Jr., seconded by C. C. Hamilton, the
minutes of all previous sessions of the Council were approved.
On motion of G. E. 7ilcox, seconded by S. T. Atkin, the report of
City I:anager Elack, including bills and accounts in the amount of
5?660.11, and also the treasurer's re-ort, were received and filed.
On motion of Sam E. Harris, seconded by C. C. Hamilton the Council
agreed tO lease to Mr. bb14,k_k','Villiams portion of the outlying airfiald
tract of land under such conditions as stipulated in a contract
negotiated, setting out among other agreements the amount of p20.00
annually,
Ord. Corrzrlitteeman read an ordinance Known as a Zoning Ordinance, hereto
attached on pages 203-A to 203-D, inclusive, and moved that the same
be passed to its second reading. The motion was seconded by Alderman
C, C. Ham=lton, and was passe by the following vote, Ayes --Atkin,
Hamilton, Hoffman, Eilcox, Harris. Noes --done. It was stipulated
the aforesaid ordinance be published in order that the public may
understand the future contemolations of the Council.
The following Ordinance was offered by Card. Com. Atkin, who moved that
the said ordinance be, read in full, the caption of which provides
"An Ordinance of the city of Georgetown, Texas, am^ending Section 168
Chapter 'Miq of the 'Revised Civil and Criminal nrdin2nces of the said
City of Georgetown, Texas, ;Fixing the items of cost that shall be
t.txe.d'-;against Defendants convicted in the Corporation Court of said City,
so that the same shall read as herein set out: The motion -,vas sec-
onded by 7ilcox and vras gassed by the following vote: .Ayes --Atkin,
77-a-mi lton, Hof_4man, 7ilcox, Harris. '_Toes --None.
Alper man Atkin Read the said ordinance in full. See Pages 203 B, etc.,
and moved that the xx=xhmxx rules for passing ordinances, be suspend-
ed, on account of an emergency stipulated in said ordinance, and that
the same -be passed to its second reading, and hereafter be read only
by caj)t1nn at future readings. The Undion was seconded by Alderman
Harris and was passed, the following being the vote: Ayes --Atkin,
Hamilton, Hoffman, =Tarris, 7ilcox. Toes--TTone ,
The Ord, was read by Caption.
On motion of alderrlan Harris, seconded by Alderman Hoffman, the Ordinance
was passed to its third reading, the following being the vote: Ayes --
Atkin, Hoffman, Hamilton, Ha.rris, `7ilcox. Toes --None.

The said foregoing Ordinance was declared duly and constitutionally
passe by Mayor wester..
Tile Council .Accepted a petition and heard a group of business men
present their opposition to the parking 1:eters. No official action
vias taken.
There appearing no further busi ss the Cou-'�cil adjourned , setting

The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
Pro Tem Sam E, 'Harris, presiding, the following being present:
City Iranager Lee C Black, Aldermen: J. Thatcher Atkin, C. C. Hamilton,
'T. P. Hoffman, jr,,Sam E. Harris and Sawn E. Wilcox, Officers: C. S.
Sanders, Assessor -Collector; 1. H. 'Tunn, attorney for the city;
A. F. Pickle, city marshal; I'. L. Cates, secretary.
On motion of Aldorman rilcox, seconded by Aldermam)i Hoffman the min-
utes of the previous session were approved as corrected.
On, motion of Alderman Hamilton the bills and accounts as presented
by Ifianager Mack were approved and ordered paid.
finmmorion of Alderman Atkin, seconded by Alderman Hoffman, the Council
unanimously approved the request from the Georgetown Independent .School
District formthe use of the Veterans EIousing Unit located on the
property of the Cax ver High School, for use by the Georgetown Schools
System, provided that such use conforms to agreement by the Federal
Housing Authority.
A motion was made 7aydAlderman S. E. Wilcox, and -seconded by Alderman
7. 3'., Hoffman, Jr.... that the attorney for the city, 7. IT. 7Tunn, be
directed to draw ordinances, Authorizing the sale of ceertain streets
in the John R. Allen'Addttlnn, as renested by Southwestern University.
On motion of Alderman Iitkilton the Attorney for the City was directed
to draw a dog -tax ordinance
On motion of Alderman-7ilcox, seconded by Alderman Atkin, Poundmaster
John Hyman was granted an additional 0,00 salary-.
I`r. Norman Rogers requested a permit to operate a Taxi in the city,
si�an the Council agreed there was no necessity for
more taxies in the city at the present time, and requested City
Eanager Zee C. 7lack to so advise I:1r. Rogers.
There appaering no further business the Council adjourned.
