HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 71-22 - Zoning Ordinance260 AN ORDINANCE A:lfENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOUT TEXAS, ON THE 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1971, AMENDING TIIE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AM NDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE; TO CHANGE TRACTS 1 AND 2, ROYAL OATS, A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FIiOM R-S, SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT, TO R-M, MULTIPLE FAMILY DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to City Council for the purpose of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate: Tracts 1 and 2, Royal -Oaks, a subdivision in Georgetown, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof of record, Plat Records, Williamson County, Texas, and being the same property as was formerly known as Lots 1 through 11, inclusive, Block 1, and Lots 1 through 5, inclusive, Block 2, Royal Oak Hills Estates, a subdivision in Georgetown, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof of record, Plat Records, Williamson County, Texas . AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "R-S", Residential Single Family District to "R-:4f", Residential Multiple -Family District, which said meeting was held on the 18th day of October, 1971; and 261 M d'{ O V 10HEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Or- dinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in the WUliam- County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than 15 days from the first day of such publications; and 11'HEHEAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of the lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning flap of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is herebe removed from %-S", Residential Single Family District to "R-Ri", Residential :'Multiple -Family District. The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
