HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 71-24 - Vacating a Portion of Oak Lane264 AN ORDINANCE VACATIiNG A PORTION OF A STREET LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF GEORGETO'iNl, TEXAS BE IT ORDAINED that the hereinafter described portion of a street located within the city limits of Georgetown, TLxas, is hereby abandoned and vacated and shall no longer be used as a' -public thoroughfare: All that certain portion of Oak Lane being located within Crestview Addition, Unit III, an addition in and to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof of record, plat records, Williamson County, Texas, as follows, to -wit: The south 60 feet of Oak Lane as follows: BEGINNING at the SE corner of Lot 1, Block 2, of the said Crestview Addition to said'City, which said beginning point is the SW corner of a section of Oak Lane in said Addition; THENCE N 47 deg. 38' E a distance of 50 feet for a corner, which corner is the N4Y corner of a tract of land owned by the Crestview Baptist Church; THENCE N 42 deg. 22' W a distance of 60 feet along the Eline of said Oak Lane for a corner; THENCE S 47 deg. 38' W a distance of 50 feet to a point in the E line of the said Lot 1, Block 2, which point is 60 feet north of the SW corner of said Lot 1; THENCE in a southerly direction and along the E line of the said Lot 1 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. READ, PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote this 8th day of November, 1971, on its first reading, and READ, PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote on the 13th day of December, on its second reading.
